Exactly this. If Tom Morris had a whiff of the Demons meeting with Bailey Humphrey and the supposed intel that has been posted here it would be splashed all over Trade Radio. Not a Tom fan but he is usually all over this kind of thing and at the moment I am not seeing that playing out.

Please just let me be deelusional and believe until at least friday please, I need this to hold onto hope

Surely he has an account for all forums of all teams. He wouldn’t post.

The leak has just about been plugged...

Do not get me wrong. I too am on the wishful thinking train. I bloody hope this intel is solid and we are wining and dining Bailey Humphrey to get him to nominate us as nominating us (or even stating that he wants to come back home) is the only way a trade for him is forced.

Sounds painful.

I'm really loving all this intel from @Demon Forever about meetings with Bailey Humphrey but it's not lining up with any of the "news" coming from the likes of Morris who are usually all up in "news" about meetings such as this. I would praise our plugging of the leaks if I wasn't also praising a poster on here for leaking "news" about clandestine meetings. Somethings not adding up.

No offence to @Demon Forever - love this stuff. It's keeps the dream alive. Also not pumping up Tom's tyres but credit where credit is due, and regardless of what people think of him, he is often very close to the mark with this stuff.

Can someone catch me up to speed about what he's been correct in the past. Super interested.

Tell me which part is more believable than me:

Melbourne wanted Humphrey and Flanders?

Proposed meet up that Tom nor anyone else knew about?

Secondary meeting?

Humphrey being told to push his case for an exit? That only came out today! I mentioned this days ago

Bartel being approached for next year?

Scarlett being convinced to go to the dees but he only wants to do it part time?

The mole at the club?

Most things i post were not reported on and some still haven't surfaced. Im not here to make you believe me

If Humphreys wants out of GC it does not necessarily need to be tied to the Petracca trade either.

He could nominate a club or just state that he wants to return home and if GC eventually relent then they could very well decide to deal with Hawthorn or Collingwood. Hawthorn have the Blues first pick and might very well be prepared to part with that for a player like Bailey Humphreys.

We would be naive to think it has to be a part of the Trac trade.

I feel like there is a world where we turn

Trac and Oliver and Mcvee

into

Humphrey, Steele and Rogers.

And then get young Pickett in the draft.

Appreciate the intel and please keep it coming. Posters need to take anything they read with grains of salt. Would be thrilled if even half of what you reported is true but as always I remain skeptical (with all rumours not just yours) until they actually happen.

Just because Tom Morris isn't reporting it, doesn't mean it isn't happening.

Tom Morris is well fed by certain players/player managers, but he doesn't know everything.

We are clearly keeping the leaker away from the meetings we are having with Humphrey. In fact, the media had no idea the initial meeting was even happening, until someone snapped a photo of it and put it all over socials.

Maybe, just maybe, the lack of leaking is also an agreed tactic between GC and Melbourne, as both try to hold firm publicly, while softening behind closed doors.

The strategic leak that Dimma is sympathetic to Humphrey's family issues back home, yet Tom doesn't know what the issues are, is a very interesting move. It oils the squeaky hinges on a door that has been slammed shut for a few days now.

I will also add that Tom Morris's info will be far less on the demons front as the "Mole" is being exited

Another consideration here is if Suns see themselves contending in 2026 do they want to strengthen us, Hawthorn or Pies with Humphrey.

Like I said, Pin my post and follow it. Im not saying all of this will happen but these are the conversations being had at the dees. There are many vairables to all factors and that is not a simple "Get out" clause on my behalf. Dees didnt expect Saints to offer Pick 7 for Flanders, the player managers are all surprised by this especially with a $900K salary. MFC has been steadfast on Bailey, Flanders was a like to have but they view him as "Slow"

I will also note that I said the meeting was happening before the picture was taken, infact it may have been a day or 2 before

You’ve been way ahead of the curve DF. I’m loving your content. I was skeptical about your insight onto BH but lo and behold he had a meeting with us a few days later. That’s good enough to suggest your intel is on point for me!

Is it not bizarre that Hird keeps saying GC needs a “De Goey type player” if they were to lose Humphrey - but doesn’t once mention Trac??

Hird talks as though Trac is already at GC

So out of what you just posted, what’s the plan?

Bartel, Scarlet, Humphrey all looking towards us?

exited, there is no chance of coming back from this!

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
