HOw depressing - call me flash - but I have just worked out we have just 5 games left in Melbourne for the season. No more interstate trips for me this year and I honestly didn't think come the start of July I would be saying I will only go to another 5 Melbourne games for the year :(

WE have this week against the Blues, then we are up in Brisvegas, then roos at the Dome, interstate for another 2 matchs, back at the dome, then the G, over to Perth and finally a home game at the G.

So we have 4 "HOME" games left for the year and only 1 of them is at the G.

Can't believe our season is done and dusted so early - no wonder so many of you are saying bring on 2008.

Honestly, I'm a bit over this season and the sooner it ends, the quicker we can start the new chapter of MFC's history.

2008 is going to be a big year off the field for the club, as it is our 150th year. Hopefully the on-field action will match the celebrations.

And trust bloody Melbourne to be dominating and participating in finals next year when I'm away at the end of September! <_<

You have just strtuck on part of reason for the angst of supporters who were sold on our domination at the 'G' over the last two years. On the positive side we are gauranteed a return on the interstate games which would have drawn piddling crowds otherwise.

An aside to this is would interstate teams have put up with a draw that saw them with one game at their home ground in half a season? We really are whipping boys aren't we?

The only thing I'm looking forward to in 2007 is (hopefully) the first pick in the November draft and then first pick in the PSD.

i reckon the first pick in the pre season draft will be worth more. it means you can hold a club over the barrel and trade for a star for cheap. if they dont want to deal, the player can walk. it is a massive bargining chip. and if you deal trade, you still get the best of the unsigned...

    TRAINING: Wednesday 22nd January 2025

    Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force for training at Gosch's Paddock on Wednesday morning for the MFC's School Holidays Open Training Session. DEMONLAND'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS REHAB: TMac, Chandler, McVee, Tholstrup, Brown, Spargo Brown might have passed his fitness test as he’s back out with the main group.  Sparrow not present.     Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on.     There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training.
