I noticed Joel Selwood was watching on upstairs with Alan Richardson, I thought that was interesting given reports a couple of months ago we were trying to get him to the club.

They had on the news the other day that selwood was visiting various clubs training sessions, he's got some role at the afl

Is there going to be training next Monday open to the public at Casey?

No, today was a scheduled open training at Casey, they’ll now resume training behind the locked gates as it usually is.

He’s got a “player engagement” role, whatever that means.

I would not trust at all that he isn't sending information back to the Cats

Apparently we're off to Arden Street for a praccy match on potentially Saturday 22 February.

The last time we played North at Arden Street in a practice match, we had a bit of a minor pandemic a couple of weeks later....

I’m confused. We were told the family day type event at Casey on the 14th of February is a scratch match vs North. Clearly it isn’t. It must be just another open training session 🤷‍♀️

I read somewhere this morning that Pup left the field limping yesterday and apparently it didn’t look good and he looked upset.

It would be nice if the club gave us a bit of an update!

We had Chin in a sling and we haven't heard one thing.

Really disappointing to hear about Brown.

Out of all the young first and 2nd year players, i had him down for a break out season.

Big big fan of young Kynan..

Same....hopefully it isn't an ACL. However, if it is you would have to think Roy George is a big chance to come onto the list.

Yeah I recall you wrote that we were playing North at Casey on 14th Feb. That date seemed a bit early for the first practice match,

There’s so many dates and events to keep up with this off-season, more so than previous years. Not just these open training sessions and praccies, but a ton of other club/DA-related stuff, too. The 14th of February is defs too early in the year.

I went to that game. Loved it.

Brought back memories of going there in the 70s and early 80s.

(I went to the footy every week in, I think 1979, with a mate who supported the roos. We used to alternate dees and roos games so I saw plenty of games at Arden Street that year).

It's on my side of town, so I'm absolutely wrapt the praccy match is at Arden Street.

I'm a lock.

I'm assuming training's at Casey today and Monday, and they'll be closed sessions.

This time Last year on the Public holiday Monday they had an almost full scale intra club game open to the public. Guess that's not happening this year.

Any idea if you can watch a closed session behind the fence in the outer wing at Casey, or you're wasting your time and they'll tell you to go away? Can recall in the pre season of 2021 they had no issues with supporters peaking through the fence.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
