Nah.

The mods knew what they were doing and did a fine job. You can actually have an opinion on here now without being constantly attacked for or put down because it didn't suit that particular person's narrative.

Happy days.

Really?? I’m assuming you’re retiring from D’land then as 90% of your posts constantly attack & put down posters ..so absolutely Happy Days if that’s the case

Nah they don't. Go find me 90% of those posts from the last month and I might agree with you.

I'll wait.

And you are despicable. I've had absolutely enough of the posters who disparage WCW/GW - it is beneath contempt. And moderators: how do you allow this?

I think it’s very safe to say that WCW/GW is a pretty unique individual, who has done nothing but provide virtually all of us with nothing but entertainment and joy. DL is  such a better place when she’s posting. Why she continually gets “attacked” by certain posters is beyond me, and it is simply disgraceful. There is just no call for it, and why these snide attacks are seemingly let go through to the keeper is also beyond me.
She was going to return to DL, but has now - thanks to certain cretins - decided to give it a complete miss. So, as she says, there will be no more GW training reports. I’d say 99.5% of posters will sorely miss her and her reports.

Don’t start feeling too cocky dazzle.

You’re walking a very fine line.

Consider yourself warned. And deemac too!

Oh, the lack of self-perception here is soooo ironic!

….and you claim you’re not a bully….

And just BTW: this was a terrific, positive thread, full of the best news we have heard all year, until two fools  decided to get nasty and wreck it.

That's a huge accusation to make Kat. I hope youve got the evidence to prove this on hand?

I may have strong opinions at times but 98% of the time I try to be as respectful as possible. I have disagreed with many on here and many the same against me, that's fine, I loved being challenged as long as it's healthy and you've got the rightful information to back that up.

Funny enough, unlike some of you I don't hold personal grudges against anyone on here. To this day I have NEVER put anyone on ignore because I would like to think I can still have a footy related discussion with that person in another thread.

I miss WCW. Those that attack her should ignore or block her instead. We are poorer as a result of their bullying.

This site has a history of chasing away posters that go to the effort of going to training and reporting their observations often using humour. It may not be to everyone's taste but that's life isn't it!

The bullying must be controlled or many will give up.

I agree. This is a fan forum and posters should treat each other with respect, not accuse others of lying.

Prove the 98%

I know you won't.

I’ve taken step of locking this thread because it has moved away from its original purpose of informing Melbourne fans about Friday’s training session which was a largely positive one for the club.

The club is moving on to its Mansfield training camp with the full entourage including the recent draftees expected to attend. It’s a beautiful part of our state and I look forward to more positive reports from those fortunate enough to make it to that part of the camp which is open to the fans … and please keep on topic.

Thanks.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.

  • GAMEDAY: Sydney

It’s Game Day, and the Demons have a golden opportunity to build on last week’s stirring win by toppling Sydney at the MCG. A victory today would keep them firmly in the hunt for a finals spot and help them stay in touch with the pack chasing a place in the Top 8. Can the Dees make it two in a row and bring down the Swans?
