An Essendon draw tonight is as good as a loss.

Sure makes it interesting. Go Blues.

All night, I was yelling, "a draw is good enough!"

Now, I need to stock up on antiemetics to enable me to yell, Go Bloos, next week. 😖

Blumin hell Mick Sinnear is good. Lost by points, season 95% done and dusted and he delivers pretty much the perfect post match speech. Doesn’t sugar coat it, tells truths and says we will go hard against the Pies next week. Love it.

I reckon this bloke deserves to coach an AFL men's team one day.

He's a wonderful leader, mentor and coach.

Richmond really deserved to beat Essendon.

A two goal turn around occurred when a player gave the ball to a teammate instead of the ump, costing a goal. After the ball up,the ball went up Richmond’s end, and a snap landed on the goal line, then  amazingly bounced straight backwards.

We also need the saints to drop one of their 2 games

Done.   Saints are mathematically out of finals contention, losing by a point to the Doggies in Ballarat today.

2 results go our way by a total of 1 point!!!  Maybe the footy gods are finally on our side. 🙆‍♀️

We know what we have to do.

Beat the pies on Saturday afternoon and hope that Carlton do us a favour v the bombers.

Pies may be bottom of the pile, but we don't want to take them lightly. remember 2017!

I will be watching-awesome crew of players, feels a bit 2020 with these abridged seasons, much more of a sprint than a campaign. If we do fall in, no one will be taking them lightly.

There must be some quiet optimism. See how many times 'next week' is mentioned here:

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
