I loved the letter but lest not forget the elephant in the room.

The club played their contract hand well. We will enforce our rights, and Trac had nowehere to go but this announcement.

The good news its it may be a catalyst for reviews and self examination by all inside the club to get back to the 2021 culture of selflessness. Its only a few years ago and everyone will remember how it works.

Someone on here talked about Mx and his captainvy in this matter.

Now he's officially a ruck legend, Flag skipper and all round beauty, should we be thinking we transistion to new leadership skipper-wise and just let Max think about himself for a chnage. He's earned it.

Entirely up to Max of course. he's skipper thll he doesn't want to be.

It's not actually a trophy, it's a poster of a trophy, being held by the poster - no, wait, I mean, it really is a trophy in the sense of a memento of triumph but not in the sense of being a physical trompy, because phyiscally it is a poster but psychologically it is a trophy, and in the poster there is a picture of a trophy which is not a poster but an actual trophy, except it is only a representation of a trophy, probably AI generated, and in this trophy poster which displays a trophy there is also an image of the poster who won the trophy poster of a trophy posing triumphantly holding the actual but non-existent trophy, which is a bit meta and just as well it isn't just another trophy poster of a poster holding a trophy poster because then this would go on for a while. But I hope Swooper appreciates it!

I just saw the club’s and Trac’s response. Amazing effort, looks like your open letter worked! 

Bit belated but as I drove home last night past the Botanic gardens I was wondering what I'd do if I were to randomly see Trac in a public place like that before this announcement.

I would have just said "Christian we love you and we'll always be grateful, always".

That might be really stupid for a lot of you but that's how it felt, and I'm very far from someone who gets attached to players emotionally.
