The Swans not letting club champ Parker go to his preferred destination is petty. he busted his gut for almost 300 games

When does it end?

If anyone needs further convincing that the AFL is an entertainment business, this trade period garbage is it.

A bunch of deals for ageing or fringe players and they are acting like this will change the world

The AFL is misguided if they think that extending the cut-off time to 7.30 is great tv. Watching officials sitting around is not gripping viewing.

Timmy Lamb not sitting around, his frugal draft strategy has always centred around nabbing a 2hr street park on the final day and avoiding an all day spot under the stadium

Andrew Mackie is the new Dedoro. I understand that Smith is out of contract but when you lure a player over the course of 18 months and have them commit to your club, it is incumbent on them to work the deal. Yes you want to get the best deal possible for your club, but the visible lack of effort to deal other assets, be it players, current year picks or future picks is embarrassing.

Personally I'm proud that the Dees are creative and look at getting their deals completed early. Sometimes we pay overs, other times we get a break because we're easy to deal with. Swings and roundabouts and I know which side of the coin I'd like to be associated with.

Soon to be 28yo Houston has signed a 6 year contract

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
