OMG,

didn’t think it was that bad

I’d rather finish 14th than 9th… a top 5 pick combined with a bundled pick at 20 will help us secure 2 very good mids.

Disappointing to miss the finals but this was a very even year.
we only had the two(?) really bad games.  Why. NFI.  Something was wrong.

And how many by less than 10 or so points.  And we started with two less top 22 players.   So with the football gods with us in 2025.  And some  better team management. Look forward. Go Dee’s

Really we had 7 bad games. Lions, Pies twice, Dogs, and Freo twice plus WCoast.
Swans ok and 4 losses under a goal and 11 wins.

Better Team Management you mean Coaching which should include our Forward and Mids inc. ruck plus of course our Sub ( no 23) management.

Our lack of pressure (or specifically the picking and choosing of which we week we brought pressure) and atrocious skills explain exactly why we're the 5th worst side in the league.

Compare that to the teams that are currently playing in the finals.

We have a massive amount of work to do if we want to return to finals next year. A return of a few injured players isn't going to simply solve everything, IIRC we had a far stronger team in for the Freo debacle compared to the final game.

The mindset to bring uncompromising and unconditional  pressure week in week out is the main factor that will determine if we jump back up the ladder.

A lot of work to do but 11 wins after a disasterous end to 2023, unrelenting media pressue, the retirement of Gus, Loss of Smith and lack of preseasons for Oliver, Petty and a few others it's somewhat remarkable it didn't turn out worse. Particularly when you add in injuries to May, Lever, Salem, Tracc and Gawn.

Hopefully the spirit we saw in the first 10 rounds is the real Melbourne despite the pressure that was put upon them and it just became to hard to fight against the wind in the second half of the season once injuries mounted amid continued media pressure.

It's actually disgraceful but not a surprise.  No wonder trac is livid

Hey Trac , all your other team mates have signed on!

Oh no, we are the worst team, with the worst culture, our under performing coach must be sacked.

Burn the club to the ground, burn it all!

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. TRAINING: Wednesday 15th January 2025

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
