He should never have resurfaced from his misogyny. Typical AFL boys club mentality still living in this industry

You were pretty with him the other day. Said it needed to be aired and change would happen as a result. Are you back pedalling SWYL?

Not at all. Changes are happening

Morris needs to find better sources, not for one minute did i think Tracc would leave.
Does the Club need to improve on and off the field?

Yes it does…

I agree, we need changes, but you were very laissez-faire about Morris and by extension Trac [censored] on our club.

It needed to happen. All of that.

How about driving change without airing dirty laundry?

I don’t believe Morris was Lying. But his sources are rubbish.
And i have no doubt Tracc has been frustrated with the Club for a number of reasons, but i do believe that those frustrations are being sorted right now.
He doesn’t have to give a running commentary on his feelings to the public, just because you want it

All he had to do was get his management to act exactly as Peter Rhode did on behalf of Kozzy yesterday.

"Melbourne has been assured by Kysaiah Pickett's management that he is content at the Demons despite continual approaches from clubs..." NewsCorp.

Then it becomes a non story.

But that didn't happen. Instead the club was dragged through the mud.

Glad his management said no and he's working to rebuild relationships and the club is looking to get better too.

I hope he stays, playing it through the media was not the right strategy.

Only because you believed it.
Tracc is rehabilitating after a life threatening injury, he is entitled to say nothing

He is a long Contracted Player

To keep his heart rate down, he probably has his phone and computer turned off

Where did I say Trac needed to say anything? He has a management team. Just like Kozzy. They could have fizzled it. They didn't.

You were ready to show him the door with a few Draft Picks…

What a cockroach 🪳 that Morris is, trying to create "story of the year" and continually doubling down on his sources.

Absolute tool of the highest order.

The more worrying thing is where this leak came from.

Not going to label anyone but it's either come from one or two parties.

I hope it's not a leak from within the club.

I was surprised at how civil Goody was towards him in the midweek presser last week!!

So just reading an article about this, I'm thinking trac wasn't ready to talk to any players about what he was going through & the players probably didn't realise just how trac was feeling.

When trac revealed all the other day now the players know & I reckon they'll put his arms around trac now & check in on him a bit more

Or he’ll get a promotion.

I saw Caroline Wilson go on a rant about the clubs communication. The bottom line is the club has a responsibility to the player’s privacy. It isn’t up to them to talk to the players group about Trac’s state of mind unless he explicitly gave them permission to.

Caroline Wilson?  I think it's about time she hung up her broomstick.

Really? Old Time Demon for sure. Nice bit of sexism. She's a good reporter that writes some things that make Melbourne supporters annoyed from time to time. Her gender is irrelevant.

I reckon Trac would have said something pretty quickly if the same level of negative press was being associated with the CP5 online brand he's building as is the MFC by virtue of his silence.

His management could shut this down in 5 seconds flat if Trac wanted it, he wouldn't even have to speak himself, he's making an ongoing choice not to do so.

Maybe so, we have no idea what the reasons are. I think last years offseason has a lot to do with it, but that is only my opinion. As i said last week, he has basically told the Club to get its act together, which I think is a positive

Something he's very entitled to do, but this isn't the way to do it. the speculation will now continue until Trac is traded, or trade week ends if he doesn't speak, and personally, i suspect that's what he wants.

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
