I hope Eddie was watching those final minutes in Paris.

Who was the genius that thinks it's a good idea to have Mr "Justice served" as an anchor for the Olympics?

Is he that well loved outside his filth circles?

I'm with you. They could still finish too and have a draft hand of three 1st round draft picks which includes Collingwoods one which they gave up for Schultz.

They're in a really good space with their list build and age demographic.

Their aim should be a premiership within thr next 3 years imo.

I hope all their picks become a bust or they are Victorians and leave in 3 years 😜.

Mason cox had 0 possessions in that final quarter.

Honestly it would have made it much sweeter if they did lose last years gf then missed out this year. Oh well unfortunately we can't change the past

Could end up being pick 6 - 8 for Schultz. Freo are laughing.

Let's also not forget that Collingwood traded out their 2021 1st round pick the year prior for picks 24, 30 and future 4th in preparation for Nick Daicos. Collingwood slid down the ladder and had they retained their pick they could've had Finn Callaghan as well as Daicos. They've been burned pretty badly so far on future pick trading.

Long may this continue, they could fall off the cliff in the next couple of years if they can't replenish their list.

They have one of the worst age profiles in the league.

Just watched the final 2 minutes. Even if mcstay got that 50 there still would have been time for syd.

McCrae was getting frustrated in those final moments. Sucked in.

GWS please

Just makes it that little bit harder for Geelong to go top 4 and of course if they lose to Freo it's almost a certain lockout of the top 4 by interstate sides.

Is there a reason the score review shows useless camera angles for over a minute and only after that show the snickometer result?    (I mean a genusine reason, not some AFL crud reason.)

That buffoon should’ve been banned from Olympics commentary after his deplorable gaffe at the 2010 (or 2014 🤔) Winter Olympics. The Men’s Halfpipe Snowboarding final and American Shaun White absolutely carved up all competition. Immediately afterwards, McGuire had two of our Aussies, one being Scotty James (our best in this event), neither of whom medalled and both of whom were gutted, live at the desk. He said let’s show the footage of the final again. That was bad enough. Then he says to Scotty James, “wanna talk us through Shaun’s incredible gold medal run?” 😳 I was watching it at the time and Scotty’s face said what I and probs everyone in the entire world was thinking, ie. Are you [censored] serious??? Did you just ask a devastated losing Olympic hopeful to describe blow by blow the gold medal winner’s run????” Absolutely inexcusable, and awkward af.

The good part: after the self-absorbed eejit asked the question Scotty simply said, “No.” Just like that. Legend. 👊🏼

These score reviews can be so annoying!! When it’s for a possible ‘hit the post’, why don’t they go straight to the snicko thingy, rather than first trying to establish whether or not it touched, using vision that looks like it was taken from the other end of the ground and with pretty much just the one angle!!

Really? That’s ridiculous. Ok, maybe Matthew Mitcham is unavailable but surely we have a raft of former divers who could commentate.

He does have a fellow commentator who I think is a former diver, but Tubby tends to hog the commentary 😁

I finally heard all of what McCrae said about the umpiring.  Wow he just sounded like not only a sore loser, but a spoiled brat.

Didn't he tell his team a couple of years ago not to act like lovers.

Anyway on another note Brisbane are off to a flyer & should be further ahead.

Brisbane are like the Sri Lankan cricket team, they appeal for everything. Heads being thrown back, flopping, arms being thrown in the air.

Not surprised to hear this story.

He's insufferable, it's hard enough to wake up in the early hours of the morning to watch the swimming competition; on top of that I have to listen to that clown.

Brisbane will get a free hit for coverage in September because the titans aren't playing finals & for the first time in awhile the broncos won't feature. So both nrl teams are out.

I mean Townsville could make it but they're a bit out of Brisbane

For a sane insight into Olympics commentary check out Rampaging Roy and HG Nelson's daily show on ABC RN called  People, Medals and Cheese. Very funny and ripped into McGuire a couple of days back, having lifted an eyebrow about Tubby's efforts in the diving earlier.

why, in the kangas vs meth coke game, are the maggots wearing a light blue colour shirt?

i reckon at least twice north players have tried to kick it to the umpire cos they've looked up and seen someone in a similar colour to their blue stripes

who on earth is in charge of this stuff? surely just put them in a colour NOT USED BY EITHER TEAM

good grief the afl is just a clusterfart of incompetence

This lions giants game is like when we played the giants.

We dominated the 1st quarter , but missed easy shots & should have been further in front at 1/4 time.

Kingsley bakes them & they respond.

The same thing has happened in this game. The lions should have been 8 goals up

I love HG & Roy! The Dream (show) that they had during the Sydney Olympics was brilliant (I have the DVDs of it)!

Their commentary of the men's gymnastics was hilarious. Couldn't get away with it today unfortunately.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
