Don't you ever tire of correcting people. The demonland resident Mr. Correction

But this time you are wrong but won't admit it

Goodwin had a different role in 2021 and that's a fact. And Yze was calling the shots from upstairs. Fact

Give it up Laddie, you're cooked on this argument and have been found out again

Stick to the gossip and your worshipping of Caro & Cornes

And you don't get to decide when a discussion point is over. Who do you think you are?

Um Dazz is ALWAYS ON THE MONEY!

The drums are really beating now. IMV the following 3 should be the first out:

  1. Goody

  3. Selwyn

That would be a start, but won't address arguably the clubs biggest problem

Mate, ON MY AUTHORITY????? No mate, I ALSO will relinquish my membership, coz in my opinion and thats my prerogative I can withdraw my support as is my right if I don't believe we are traveling in the right direction. We aint and as Dazz has outlined his reasons for doing so and I firmly believe we need to replace the coach. The cred is NOT spitting the dummy but rather deciding on an action which if the club took notice, predicates change! WHICH MUST COME!

Well a few years ago he won a flag for us with an untainted list

Now, the list is a rabble

I'm not expecting the team to improve under a possible new coach ... unless, we trade aggressively and clear out the deadwood (that's if anyone wants them)

Same sort of list? 10 wins Max, bub. They are past their use-by date

The game has passed by many of our players. Most of all we are too slow in the legs. Plodders everywhere

e.g. ... as soon as the Saints woke up yesterday and used their leg speed, we were left floundering. It took one quarter after we had dominated for 3 quarters

We are easily exposed. Goodwin's error is sticking with players who he should have moved on. Being loyal has cost him

I think you're letting Goodwin off the hook. I agree that the senior players have plenty to answer for but Goodwin as senior coach has fostered the environment/culture that has led to this behaviour. There's been plenty written about Goodwin much if which I can't say on here but suffice to say there is reason to think Goodwin's relationship with the players has contributed to this mess.

He is not an overly tactical coach (though has had some innovative moves in his time), his strength seems to be in his player relationship management. If that is not working or has led to the situation that we are in now then you would have to say his role is no longer viable.

I also think you're under selling the list. 14 premiership players out there yesterday (and May and Lever also still on the list). Not overly old so I think painting the list as a "rabble" is selling them short. Not at a level to challenge for a flag but definitely good enough to challenge for finals.

I dont tired from calling people up who make up and spread lies.

You told me to go do my research and I did. My research dating back to the 2020 review which you referenced and again it showed you made it up like you have done plenty of times.

To keep facts as facts. Goodwin did NOT get relegated to coach from the bench in 2021 by higher officials. This is a well known fact.

I do love how you have had to resurface this discussion once again out of nowhere lol.. clearly got you playing perfectly in your head.

Don't punish the club because you're dissatisfied with the coach

If you get your wish, he'll be gone soon enough anyway

I'm totally dissatisfied with the players efforts but won't be becoming a non-member justbbecause they've laid down the tools (and they have)

Here's how it goes ... most of the angst goes against the coach but if the coach is sacked the ire goes to the players

And we aren't going to start winning in a hurry with a new coach so the players can expect the full barrage if we don't start winning

Not individual players either, all of them

Its the significant drop in memberships since last year that is clearly telling.

Members are clearly voting with their voice.

I don't care what you've got to say. I usually skim past your posts

You've just chucked in your membership all because you don't like the coach

Mate cant you see??, the playing group is totally fractured, they have had footy instinct drilled out of them and have NO idea what they should be doing and when this happens it is down to the coach! PERIOD!

If I and others dont like happening then the ONLY way to change is to vote with membership downturn!

What else is left???

We've won 6 games with a supposedly good list of players. We are chokers

And I'm not a Goodwin fan, I just don't see why he should lose his job when the players have turned into lazy bludgers

It's you who is letting the players off the hook

They are in self-preservation mode and it's clear to see

The flag went to their heads

The players are looking after themselves and are a bunch of lazy no-hopers

Unless we turn the list over we are in for years of pain. This current group is taking us backwards at a rate of knots

Goodwin has backed himself into a corner as he has never made tough selection calls. He plays his favourite players, so players are allowed to be poor with no repercussions. Players are performing well below their best and they are a big part of the problem, but this problem was created by Goodwin.

He is the disease that has spread. No fringe player is willing to push their case for selection as they are overlooked, senior players feel untouchable and have a severe case of arrogance. All coach enabled, harnessed and overlooked.

I doubt an interim president and CEO would sack the coach.

We have quietly had our list decimated in terms of 'guns' and likely not Goodwins fault.

Brayshaw - gun ,early retirement,

Jackson - pinched from us when still a 'kid'. Replacements with draft picks combines not performing to his level. One of his strengths was power forward.

ANB - very good player. Family reasons. replacement has been injured.

BB - The exact type of player we need forward now. Unfortunately Petty cannot create separation of the lead like BB and is better suited back.

Issues with Tracc and Oliver probably will not see them back to best until 2026. No guarantee though.

This season we have seen issues with May and Lever missing games and below top form.

McVEE - Not a gun yet but a lot of time injured effecting his performance - same as Windsor.

I'm not letting the players off the hook, I think they are equally as culpable as the footy department.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
