Why does every Carlton player look like they day drink alone at Crown Casino on a Wednesday?

It’s heartening to see Geelong finally have some success after their tragic downfall and gruelling three-week rebuild.

But maybe that does tell you something. Do I dare keep hope alive?

It's so weird that the dees and the giants also had tragic downfalls at the same stage of the season as the cats, and also appear to be turning things around.

Just a crazy coincidence I guess.

Go doggies.

The 13 point line was my best bet of the round.

A long way to go yet (it's 3 quarter time), but they look the better, and fresher, team atm.

That's where the brown paper bags are dropped off these days

It’s so crazy, I’m imagining the form of Carlton and Freo will dip as well for a few weeks… it’s like the science is weird or something*

And what about those swannies?

Lose a couple and people are wondering if they have come back to the pack....

A Dog's win will be a nice entree before we feast on Essendon.

Why does an almost-30 Cripps get his hair cut like as if he's a 16 year old eshay from Seaford?

Give it a rest umps.

Play ball fgs

How soft was that free kick to Cripps?! Was a good tackle.

FWIW I thought dogga was well beaten by Meek today - one reason Hawks won. I don’t think Darcy will be going anywhere.
He was too strong, as he was against Casey in round 1 of the VFL.
Looking at what he has done since, our VFL rucks actually did okay.

spacer.pngOwies will kick a goal with 30 seconds to go, Carlton down by 16 points and he’ll still run around the boundary yelling with his arms out like he’s kicked the winning goal in a grand final.

A few weeks ago, I predicted on here that Hawks, Dogs, and us would eventually get into the top 8.
Also, GC just to miss out.

It might just happen.

Does anyone else have issues with Kayo saying our pregame starts7.15 to only click onto the dogs game after show?

Good effort by Dogs without Naughton, Treloar, Keith, Johannison, O’Donnell and Jones.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
