No, I didn’t make the seven-hour round trip to Casey Fields, but my sister from another mister who lives close to Cranbourne went to watch today’s session. These are her notes…

Up and about. Serious session

Very loud. More talking/yelling than ever.

37 13 1 24 31 3 22 6 2 17 4 15 32 20 42 35 41 3 30 10 39 36 in attendance.

Intense keepings-off handball

Others doing jack in the pack (one kicking to a pack of six).

Milky out there.

Bowser limping off - but now back on.

Seems to be only the number 1 team out there. 23 players for a game.

Count down for kicks- only got 3 seconds to offload by FOOT

Milky playing

No Pup no AMW no Woey

The vfl boys weren’t there- actually the car park was full so maybe they were there but the 1sts needed the ground -vfl- boys might have been doing weights.

I don’t remember seeing Viney out there

Love Kolt - he has TEAM written all over him

And that’s all she wrote folks 😁

Good that they keep working on their forward craft!

No Viney no Salo?

She doesn’t remember seeing Jack. But it’s difficult at Casey since you’re viewing from afar (from behind a fence) and Richo chose not to open the gate today.

Re Salo, I left out one of her notes…

Ps Salo trained and no Lachie Hunter

And yesterday he was training in sandals or berkenshires or whatever you call them.

Clearly an issue there but I'm sure he'll be there on Friday.

Birkenstocks 😂

And yeah, one footy boot, one Birkenstock. He assured me it’s very minor soreness and he’ll definitely be right for Friday. As I’ve said before though, the senior players are guarded in what they tell a fan. Sometimes they straight up lie, which is fine and totes understandable. The kids, however… they’ve yet to learn. They spill their guts. You don’t even need to ask any questions. You just need to say “Hi (insert wet behind the ears greenhorn’s name)! How are you?” and they sing like a canary. 🤣

Salo and Pup numbers are there.

Max was there. She can be forgiven for leaving someone out, surely, and why not the Top Dog? 😅

Salo she included as he was definitely there and was training well. She didn’t see Pup but has mentioned that he’s in a pic in the gallery.

Viney may have a tenderfoot and Oliver may need a new hand, but I hope none of the players has a greenhorn.

Maybe Max was going incognito.   Very easy for him to hide.  🙄

Viney showing his age. The younger/cool kids would wear crocs covered in Jibbitz rather than Birkenstocks.

Yeah nah, my picking up lads days are over. 😃 That’s the beauty of being older than these boys. No one ever thinks I’m hitting on them. 😂They are relaxed and very candid. They’re comfortable talking about anything and everything. I’m like a mum to them. The other day as I walked towards Kolt he held his arms out (for a hug) and I said, “Here’s my boy.” This is exactly how I greet my own sons.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns.
