They say you can scan in with H & A membership on the night DAG, but it doesn’t say on the ticketek map where GA is allocated.

I posted those areas above, the mcg will formally name the ga areas the day before the game on their website

I was under the assumption that Anzac Day Eve was a fully ticketed game?

That’s what was announced. It’s since changed (as of this afternoon) and is no longer fully ticketed.

Yep. Ticket sales aren’t nearly where they should be.

Really? It’s never been a fully ticketed game in the 8 years we’ve had it.

Last year was 83.9k and the general public sales were worse than they are this year. It’s the MCC that is looking like a disaster considering it’s a category 1 game.

Will still be around the 70k mark which is what queens birthday always was.

If some members like DC can’t go to a home replacement game because she can’t sit in her cosy reserved seat how is she ( or likeminded members) likely to rough it with the Tiger types in GA.

With great respect it’s more likely that our mob are missing in action than worrying about 10/15, 000 Tigs who may have dropped off.

dc is not a she.  dc does not have a reserved seat.

keep the comedy rolling, but "with great respect"

Living interstate, I've only been able to get to one of these games.

If you are umming ( sorry Binners) about going to this game, let me assure you it was one of the best games I have attended.

We lost ( Injuries took a toll). Richmond were a dominant side then as well.

But it's the pre match stuff that makes it. The ceremony of mobile phones and the last post.

It's heart in mouth stuff . It's humbling and pride filling at the same time. It's hairs rising on the back of your neck as well.

I guarantee it will fill you with gratitude and patriotism .

And I'm pretty sure we will win this.

Although despite the tigers form I guess with the crowd and occasion there could be an upset.

Nah.

Enjoy.

Look i dont like having pot shots at other Demonland members but i also cant stand the thought of not going to a game because the other team is too feral or we have to sit on level 4.

In the 2022 which was a Richmond home game there was a massive Melbourne turnout, probably the biggest of the year and it was our away game. It will be the same this year, the vast majority of public seats being sold will be Melbourne members that dont have access plus 95% of the MCC will be Melbourne.

Im expecting 35K of them, 30K of us and 5K neutrals.

Some media peeps reckon our match is more poignant and captivating than the ANZAC Day match, given it’s a night match. I was lucky enough to be out on the ground last year (only half our banner crew got to participate since it’s a shared banner therefore half the banner crew are Richmond), and it’s an experience rivalled only by being out there on KB. That said, I’ve a feeling the crowd will be smaller this year than it’s been of late.

Hands down the best game of the H&A season, with regards to our fixture. Sadly I haven't been to one for the past three seasons, but the pre-game ceremony is incredibly moving and poignant. Watching it on the tube just doesn't do it justice at all. I'd implore all those who are able to make it, to attend and genuinely recommend making an effort to get to one of these matches if you've never been.

As a side note our ANZAC guernsey is absolutely stunning. One of our best so far.

Agree with those peeps although Never been to an ANZAC day game.

And I'm sure I never will.

I've watched a lot of them. They get massive crowds( but so does our night game). They have more history I suppose.

But the thing is being in the dark with all the mobiles on and the chill in the air and the spotlights...our game seems to have an edge the day  game simply doesn't.

I expect it to be at least as big as the day game if it's not already and in a short amount of time.

Must be nice to see it all from the middle. There will still be a big crowd. Enjoy.

AFL and MCC are completely correct, this game has always relied on a massive GA turnout.

On a side note WCW, and I reckon this would annoy you too, I did notice that M33 rows U-Back were on sale as a dry bay from the the original onsale, meaning Richmond still wont give the Demon Army the whole bay. Seems like every other team we are away against lets us have the whole of M33 or M3 if its a Collingwood home game.

A cold night game where the best I can get us level 4 means it's TV for me.

It's not looking bad weather wise OD. Top of 19.. Low of 11 and light winds.

Might head along with my AFL membership and brave GA in the AFL section assuming they've left a few bays

Annoyed is an understatement. Richmond has given us a paltry allocation and any hope of them giving us more is gone now that they’ve sold the rest of the bay. Our ticketing team has been royally stuffed around, and now the unenviable task of telling many DA members they won’t be able to sit with us. I hate Collingwood as much as the next person but at least they give us a decent allocation when it’s their home game, and they let us use M3.

If you put your barcode in now, there are 2 single seats in P21 that just went on sale...

Yep me too!

I am devastated to be missing this game, if you can go, even if you can't get a decent seat, go. I've been to every single one of these and it is an absolutely brilliant experience, plus I think we will win!

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
