Don't care who gets the nod as long as they get results. Send them your resume champ :D.

They could give it to BT ,apparently he's an expert( at least he thinks so,) and it would get him off the TV as well

be interesting to see who goes with ooze to the tigs

Or if McQualter goes to the Dees...

Yze was doing Midfield, Stoppage and offence as well as being senior assistant ad match day tactics

I'd suggest Chaplin steps up into that role and Dew, Ratten or McQualter step up into the midfield role

having said that, Leigh Tudor and John Blakey are highly rated assistants that i believe are on the move so perhaps a couple of fresh voices could do us some good

Any word on whether we look to replace Stafford?

I am not in on the Stafford sucks narrative, because you can only work with what you have, but some fresh voices couldn’t hurt as we try to reinvent our forwardline.

Just spitballing here. Ben Brown is cooked as a player. Currently serving an apprenticeship as an assistant with our AFLW team. My understanding is that he has a year to run on his playing contract. Give him a tap on the shoulder and get him to retire but give him a role as our forward coach. With all due respect to Stafford he cannot stay in his role as a forward coach and surprised he was there this year. If the club wants to keep him it is as a ruck coach only.

Why did Goody  get a contract extension in 22 & again in 23 … understandable in 22 after winning a flag in 21 but why another extension so soon???

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.
