Depends what the question is

We need a no 1 KPF to carry the load for a couple of years until jvr, and hopefully Jefferson, fully mature. Membrey is an honest toiler but doesn’t fit the bill.

May as well give him a run and see what happens. I wouldn’t be too hopeful though. He’s at his 3rd club for a reason.

Looking to sept going to be hard to succeed without either of bb or TMac. Jvr has been brilliant in his first season but is 19. Relying on him, petty with Maxy and Grundy chipping in won’t get it done. Hope im wrong.

We badly need to pick up an experienced KPF in trade week. not many around though.

Fantastic.... still think he was / is good enough for AFL or should have been given the opp if he wanted it.

Maybe some issues with pace but just speculation and who am i to judge anyway.

Reckon he'd be right with Clarry & Viney in terms of G&T, white line fevour and never say die attitude.  Love the niggle too.

Onya Moose. Go get em son!

Great to see Dunstan back too.  Bad timing for him with the injury as that might have been a rare chance to come in for Clarry foregone.

P.S.  Sestan has some learnings & may need an extra pre-season for a bigger tank but love what he's bringing in small doses so far.  Seems naturally gifted with a good footy brain.

Could make a brute of a medium HF as well as a bit of time in the middle if he makes it.

Yup - Ben Brown and Daniel Turner are the mystery injuries of the week. Bell and Buntine also big outs.

They are all big outs from a Casey perspective

Will be hard to cover all four.

Buntine in particular with ball in hand & decision making mostly first class.

Did someone say groin for Disco?  Hope not.

I believe that's Kye Turner listed there

I love Jimmy Munro and imo he's the most important Casey player has. He has been sorely missed in recent times. His attributes make him a fanrastic VFL player, but don't necessarily translate well to AFL.

I'm with you on Sestan. He's a natural footballer and I was glad to see his rookie contract extended to the end of 2024. Given he didn't come through the elite junior programs that others did, he has most to benefit from being in an AFL Program. He was  selected from nowhere and I reckon it's already shown to be a bit of astute drafting.

So the only change for Monday is Hibberd in for Bowey. If Hibberd hasn't got up it could be Disco playing, that's why he may not be named in the team, just guessing.

And someone in for the Nut as sub. Hopefully JJ.

Yes, the injury video/list comes out Tuesdays, so this list is 5 days out-of-date. BBB & Disco will be on next week's list (and hopefully no new additions on top of them). Posters have been a bit quick to write BBB off imv. Let's see what the diagnosis is. We have a bye next week for both AFL & VFL, so maybe he only misses one game.

100%.  Unfortunately they don't grow on trees & usually in strong demand.

Petty might have to be the fill in for a bit.  Tomo to stay in as the third tall if he can keep his form to a decent level & depending on match ups.

We’re away with Matt Jefferson getting the opening goal.

James Jordon and Taj Woewodin out - most likely one of them will be the sub tomorrow.

Surely we don’t debut someone as sub! Deep hate

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
