16000 supporters at the mcg.

what a disgrace.

having a big crowd makes such a big difference. not only does it have a significant effect on umpiring decisions, but if a player hears the roar of a massive crowd, it definitely lifts his performance and adrenalin levels.

i love the demons, but sometimes i with i supported a club like adelaide which has atleast 40,000 people turn up and scream for their team every week.

it really does make a difference.

obviosuly we can't just pull 40000 members out of nowhere, however i know that there are more than 16000 melbourne fans who could have made it to the mcg on a sunday arvo for 4 hours on a nice sunny day. shame on those who could have been there and weren't, because your presence could have meant the demons winning.

I will no doubt get shot down but yesterday was amazing...

You would have thought there was double that with the noise generated during the game, the standing ovation and cheering on at half time, three quarter time and even after the game...

there was as much passion in the stands yesterday as there has been all year - whether it was the desperation of needing a win, the determination and effort of all the players or both, it was a day that made me remember why I support the Melbourne Football Club...

we are not far off getting a win - this was evident from sunday!!!

i'd have to agree. the supporters really got behind the boys, and i don't think we've ever cheered them off louder after a loss. everyone in the crowd knew that they had a red hot crack, just a shame they didn't have more voices to show their appreciation. we should have a 'bring two mates to the footy day'. we should all make sure we wear dees stuff around town. sick of seeing all these pies scarfs all around town. it's half the reason they all go, because they feel like everyone else will go

interesting on the pies scarfs. what ive noticed is that the only stickers i ever see on cars are melbourne. if you were new to the city you would think everyone barracked for us...

yeah that's so true ey! i've always said that but people just reckon it's cos i'm biassed. every tuesday should be wear your scarf to work day

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
