Not a lot  so far; probably because the game isn't until Monday.

From Various fan websites:

  • Druggos showing how to beat Melbourne is to tag Oliver…Nothing surer than Oliver running around by himself collecting 40 next week
  • Just what we need, an angry, fired up Melbourne on the rebound...
  • I'd like to think that we will also be angry and fired up after last night's insipid effort.
  • We will tag ben Brown and he'll kick 7
  • Don't worry Dees supporters. We'll play you into form next round.
  • Oliver had 41 lol…
    • Hahaha I saw that, couldn’t believe it.  Must’ve been 41 of the most useless posies eve
    • All rubbish. Threw it about 5 times too not called
  • Got to realize we are in a sneaky rebuild mode whilst bluffing our way to this year's Finals...
  • See which side Max is going and tell Miller to b-line it to the other side, no way Max keeps up with Miller.  Can't let him sit behind play, have to play him smart or physical.
  • I don't wanna see at half time they're 40 points up and Prestia, Hopper and Taranto have been smashed in clearances, whilst Oliver and Petracca have already racked up 25 possies and 5 clearances each. Put some body work on them and make them bloody earn their kicks.
  • Our backline is miles away from our best lineup but realistically their fwd's are pus. Young/ Van Rooyen is a good matchup. Grimes/ Fritch should work.
  • I’d take a Ben Brown right now as much as I hate saying that
  • whatever Dimma comes up with will need to be a master stroke.
  • We’ve never matched up well on the cheese platters in recent times.
    • In: Effort
    • Out: Turnovers
  • Our biggest issue is if Fists of Fury Lever plays. With no Lynch and our bombs inside 50, Lever will think he is at a Las Vegas buffet racking up intercept marks.
  • I will refrain on commenting on Richmond’s odds of winning this game until the umpires are named
  • Demons supporters don’t go to any games do they?
    • The corrupt AFL are yet to relocate the MCG, slab by slab, to Mt Buller. So no.
  • Honestly don’t understand why more Melbourne fans don’t follow suit of Max Gawn their captain and be Richmond supporters
  • Dees to play a bunch of players out of position. For instance Jake Melksham on the field.
    • Haha yeah I was happy with it. He'll prob have 5 touches and kick 3 goals now.
  • We were rubbish even before nankervis, lynch, Broad and Graham got injured.

This made me laugh for its ignorance of Dimmer being a thug:

  • No probs with playing on the edge but Dimma never condoned poor discipline

This made me angry:

  • tell Miller to sit in behind Max all game and jump into his back as often as he can.

“Fists of Fury Lever” Love it!

Oliver got 40 WITH a tag 🤣

Fists of Fury Lever! I like it too, well done Punt Rd!

I’ve stopped laughing… now I’m angry.

I mean.. they're not wrong with majority of this lol.

"Oliver threw it 5 times not called"

Even if he does get a few flicks each game it's negated by the 5 holds on him that don't get called.

Richmond fan website.

I'd be interested to know what position they would play Melksham. Any chance of making an account and asking? 😛

The targeting of Max Gawn's back/head is never going to stop until the club goes to the AFL with video evidence and demands a response from the league and the umpires.

When Gawn starts getting soft frees every time someone touches him, then clubs will stop targeting him illegally. But while they can get away with it, they'll keep doing it because he is such a brilliant and important player.

I know, Luci. I was just making a point.

Once again, thanks for trawling through the muck to bring us this. 💕

I’ll be fraternising with about 20 Toiges tonight. Because it’s a shared banner, they’re coming to ours to join in the making of it. I’m wondering if any of them made any of the comments you’ve listed. Maybe I’ll climb to the top of the giant ladder and yell out, “I sure hope FISTS OF FURY LEVER is playing this Monday!” Then I’ll look for someone flinching. 😄

As in all these sites sound like us? Yeah I'm finding this more and more each week after reading this thread. I was about to say before there sounds like a serious case of RFCSS.

Makes more sense, 'the field' is his wrong position. Very typical Tiges fan comment.

I read as being on the field (regardless of position ) was considered out of position. Pretty consistent with most of DLs views tbh.

edit: ok I see we eventually came to the same conclusion:)

Back in the day...... when dogs would target your team mate you simply waited for the next opportunity to run through the maggot  ( oppo player and not the white varietal lol ). As you lent down to offer him assistance up... you'd whisper sweetly for his edification ;) .. " next time you're not getting up "

Sort of miss those days...  Umpiring is useless. They must see it...do nothing.

And then wonder about the lack of respect given.  I don't.   2 way street...  Earn the respect of the players... not demand it...  that's the weak way.

This day and age..    it does need to be brought to the attention of those that oversee. The Club has a duty of care...

Also...just needs to get angrier towards the inept custodianship of the game.

Time to remind the league ....it's  OUR game you're messing with. Don't trash it.

Nana-Shaz? She’s the head of the Doggies cheer squad. Quite the character, too.

No, Layz. As in, let’s bag Melksy. Again.

Right....

Do you even know what I was referring too? Or have you gone way too early on this again.

Read some of their comments again. Example A:

  • Just what we need, an angry, fired up Melbourne on the rebound..

We usually rebound well after a bad loss. Are they wrong here?

  • See which side Max is going and tell Miller to b-line it to the other side, no way Max keeps up with Miller.  Can't let him sit behind play, have to play him smart or physical.

Again, they're not wrong once again.. their ruckman will need all the luck they get trying to combat Max and Brodie.

  • Our backline is miles away from our best lineup but realistically their fwd's are pus. Young/ Van Rooyen is a good matchup. Grimes/ Fritch should work.

Yep, pretty much agree with them once again. Their backline is a shambles.

I'm happy to keep pointing them out for you?

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.
