I don’t really understand your reply. What is a multi-national? NB, IG?

What's the issue? Too many sponsors on the guernsey?

You still haven’t explained your initial reply. I’ll try to interpret meaning. NB already have enough advertising? I still have no idea whether you are for/against NB not having additional branding somewhere else on the jumper, replacing the spot they’ve lost.

i took your initial comment as branding elsewhere i.e. other than mfc

Remember when speculation about sponsors occupied multiple pages and threads here, as often we didn't have any?

Remember the forlorn, forgotten club hanging out for a lifesaver until a supporter drummed up a certain Russian tech group?

Remember Jimmy courting a potential, and not to be named or patronised, sponsor only to have it snatched away at the death?

Be grateful those times are past.

This I can live with.

I do, it was hard. Very hard. Often we would leave it right up until the eve of the season to secure a major jumper sponsor.

Much prefer the alternative.

So a fashion guru named "Biskit" is the sole judge and jury on our new sponsorship partner IG ( who prob has paid 1/2 mill or maybe even a $mill for the privilege) for their logo in the prime position in 2023.

Let's  be honest it's small and is not any different really to the previous prime logo  sponsor NB ( New Balance).  It doesn't take over the jumper and is much more subtle than the Hertz yellow background.

Any one claiming it ruins the jumper or is out of line just wants to create  a big hoo ha has  not much else to grumble about.

Our jumper looks good because of its red and blue heritage and our design and the more sponsorship we can gain far outweighs any pitiful grandstanding.

Meds time… someone needs to take a chill pill or ten. It’s a topic of discussion.

And if you’re gonna take someone to task, at least spell their name correctly. It’s B-I-Z-K-I-T 😜

I don't care how the jumper looks.

I just want a flag at the MCG. Is that too much to ask for instead.

MCW

SorryBizkit apologies in your name error.

However MCW if you reckon because I replied to BiZkit why didn't you call him out with a chill pill also?

Threatened like a balloon ready to burst if the "good money for Club" line was used. Didn't like 2 letters changing on our beloved prime guernsey which looks great all the time!

It's Ok to introduce a thread but not to have a reply back if it is virtually making a mountain out of a molehill.

After all it's all about sponsorship $$ and we are the winners in 2023 and ongoing years.

You must be pleased about extra chunk  of sponsorship has been secured for our future.

Go Dees !! $$$

Uhm you misspelled my name (again).

It’s NOT MCW!

It wasn’t MCW six months ago when I hadda correct you, nor will it EVER be MCW!

Sheesh, now you’ve got me needing a chill pill or ten.

BTW, I totally agree with you about the sponsorship $$$. And about us being winners in 2023. ❤️💙
GO THE MIGHTY DEES!!!

I'd just like to hear Clint's take on it because I'm legitamately not following.

Is it the logo? Is it selling out? Is it too many sponsors on the jumper? Is the company IG aligned with an evangelical group? What's the sticking point?

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Having convincingly defeated last year’s premier and decisively outplayed the runner-up with 8.2 in the final quarter, nothing epitomized the Melbourne Football Club’s performance more than its 1.12 final half, particularly the eight consecutive behinds in the last term, against a struggling St Kilda team in the midst of a dismal losing streak. Just when stability and consistency were anticipated within the Demon ranks, they delivered a quintessential performance marked by instability and ill-conceived decisions, with the most striking aspect being their inaccuracy in kicking for goal, which suggested a lack of preparation (instead of sleeping in their hotel in Alice, were they having a night on the turps) rather than a well-rested team. Let’s face it - this kicking disease that makes them look like raw amateurs is becoming a millstone around the team’s neck.

  • CASEY: Sydney

The Casey Demons were always expected to emerge victorious in their matchup against the lowly-ranked Sydney Swans at picturesque Tramway Oval, situated in the shadows of the SCG in Moore Park. They dominated the proceedings in the opening two and a half quarters of the game but had little to show for it. This was primarily due to their own sloppy errors in a low-standard game that produced a number of crowded mauls reminiscent of the rugby game popular in old Sydney Town. However, when the Swans tired, as teams often do when they turn games into ugly defensive contests, Casey lifted the standard of its own play and … it was off to the races. Not to nearby Randwick but to a different race with an objective of piling on goal after goal on the way to a mammoth victory. At the 25-minute mark of the third quarter, the Demons held a slender 14-point lead over the Swans, who are ahead on the ladder of only the previous week's opposition, the ailing Bullants. Forty minutes later, they had more than fully compensated for the sloppiness of their earlier play with a decisive 94-point victory, that culminated in a rousing finish which yielded thirteen unanswered goals. Kicks hit their targets, the ball found itself going through the middle and every player made a contribution.
