Lobb is leaving because his partner wants to return to the eastern states. Nothing to do with issues at Freo

We should hook her up with Jacko.   :)

Agree.

It's a bit weird because I think their  biggest need, by far, is a couple of high quality big bodied midfield bulls to compete with the bontempellis, cripps and Oliver types.

Nat Fyfe is probably that mid

Using a few assumptions, he would’ve earned the equivalent of 1,692,900 Qantas frequent flyer points over the course of his playing career… surely they give him the chance to crack the 2 million?  Cruel.

Worthy of another year for sure. At 37 unlikely to be that expensive either. Strange decision

Shades of Boomer Harvey. Get rid of one of your best because, you know, age!

It makes you wonder whether they are serious about the business of winning a Premiership. Mundy is an awesome player and I'd still rate as among their best players.

It’s reminiscent of North forcing Brent Harvey out when he was in blistering form at the back end of his career. And look at North now…

But this is just a snap shot in time. Just like we could have said the same about the Dees in 2017 - 'And look at the Dees now' - yet 5 years further on - we still made the same decision re: James,  'And look at the Dees now'.

I guess what I am saying, is the decision to end Boomers career,  has no baring on the future of North, just like James McDonalds' had no baring on where we are, and similarly where Freo will be.

The case can be made that it slow tracks development though getting rid of leaders too early. Could it be done better?

Hide this post from BT or he will be all over it next match 😮🤮😂

At least they honoured him with an award, the DCM.

Don't Come Mundy.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
