Some posters on this forum are no better with their use of such childish, cringeworthy terms as "Whorethorn", "West Coke", "Essendrug" and "Jeelong".

I remember years ago scratching my head, wondering what on earth was remotely funny about 'Jeelong.' I put the question out there and SWYL kindly responded that the genius cheer squad spelt Geelong that way on the banner for a game.

Pretty bloody funny

Both Lever and Viney have had plantar fascia problems. Most recently Lever this season. Lever spent a lot of time hobbling and on the bench against GWS and was seen on the ground after the game with boots in hand.

COVID19?

Wow. You wonder how they made money.

It's all relative I guess.  The basic wage in 1968 was $1.35 an hour so $1.25 for a soft cover book sounds right.

These days it's about $20 an hour which would probably buy you a similar book.

If clubs want to rest a player I doubt they would play the covid card, it is just too serious an issue and what if they really got in a few weeks?  If they wanted to keep an injury a secret they could say hamstring tightness or something equally nebulous.

Check the selections across teams this weekend, Hogan “managed”.

True. The big difference today is house prices to income. The disparity is vast unfortunately.

I thought Goody said in his presser that Lever rolled the same ankle twice in the GWS game and they would have to wait to see how he recovered - Id say they are taking a conservative approach again with him

Agree, West Coke is cringeworthy.

That's .... very hard to believe.   Are there any images of this alleged banner?

I don't know. You'll have to ask him

lol ... I think Jee-long is appropriate because that's what their supporters chant.
