We badly need to get the Adelaide loss out of our system and our season back on track

The Suns have improved. This will not be an easy game.

I want to see a consistent 4 quarter effort. And a more direct style of play. Oppositions know that pressure disrupts our handball through the corridor approach  so don;t invite them onto us.

Hanks is a big loss. she's a super player. But we should still have enough to win this game

Dees by 15 points

We must have a W in the W/L column.  Unbelievably, the season is half over, and anything but a W will see us falling well off the pace.

Better output from Zancker Paxman and Mithen will help. All three were quiet last week. Not sure if self or opposition related.

The team needs to use the flexibility they have shown to overcome any diminished output from an individual.

We still have the potential to be the best team and can beat any opposition if we structure appropriately and change patterns if any obvious difficulties. Coaching needs to respond by making appropriate moves to match up both defensively and offensively.

it took too long to use Daisy in the forward line when Harris wabeing double teamed and channelled.

Oppositions are getting more refined and we must adapt to that.

lifting our disposal efficiency (particularly handballs) will help a lot…

Our confidence is down, the Adelaide game maybe taken a toll.  Wish Abbey Holmes would use the term ‘elite’ less.  C’mon girls!

Certainly missing hanks and gay and straight kicking for goal

Great goal Skipper

All playing better. Maybe need to watch the play on .

Strange holding the ball interpretation.

Scoring end???

Suns make no attempt to dispose of the footy, no free when tackled

Eliza McNamamara is becoming a very, very good AFLW player..

Agree 100%!

Kicking for goal is poor! 2-4 and on the full. 3-4 or 4-3 and game almost over. Hoping for accuracy this quarter!

Mithen - 8 x tackles

zanker n paxy - 7 x tackles

hore - 6 x tackles

i like it

McNamara all class, Zanker and Mithen cracking in. Libby Birch very solid down back

We’re the better team. Just need to convert our chances.

We still have a few fumbly types that Adelaide and Freo don't.

Birch down back is very reliable. Yes we are still fumbly  at times but other times we looked good.

Nice to get the win.

Oh well, a win = 4 points, but plenty of improvement needed if we are going to seriously challenge the top few.

Good to win but Mick has plenty to contemplate.

Seems like Hanks will be back next week thank God but Gay is out for 3 weeks unfortunately.  Better news for Purcell who is getting closer to debuting in the Red and Blue.

Let’s keep Caris in to support L Pearce, who was great tonight, and drop Parry, for one of the young talls or Ali Brown.

Not that convincing but we got the job done

Contested game much better. Mithen BOG. Her best game for a while

Zanker, McNamara. Paxy, L Pearce and Birch best of the rest

A few players down on form still in particular Kate Hore. We need her firing if we’re to beat the best teams

If we can bag the W against GWS next we’re in decent shape heading into a tough run home

Go Dees

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
