Its a little confusing. 3 rookies were delisted and i rookie Jordan upgraded to the primary list. Does that mean 4 rookie s[pots available???

5 players off the Primary list and 3 drafted on, Jordan upgraded and Dunstan recruited.

Bradke delisted as Cat B.

I cant keep up with it all either. There are certain rules around how many you can have on your primary list dictates how many rookies you can have.

It used to be easy as the rookie list was separate on the Demons official website. I got this from footywire.

Rookies - Kade Chandler, Majak Daw, Deakyn Smith, Daniel Turner.

No idea if that is right... where is Kye Declase?

We have taken Judd McVee

183cm 68kg.

East Fremantle prospect Judd McVee is a smooth-moving defender with clean handling and skills, traits which may bode for more midfield minutes in the future.

(other reports ive read say he is a goal kicker. so no idea bout his position yet)

Judd McVee

East Fremantle, WAFL / Geraldton FC
State: Western Australia
Height: 183cm
Weight: 72kg
Date of Birth: 07/08/03

Medium midfielder who can also play across half-back and use his elite kicking skills to set up the play. All-Australian at Under-16s level in 2019, he has a high footy IQ and is very creative with his vision and clean hands. Has similar traits to Essendon star Darcy Parish in the way he hunts the footy around stoppages and was a good performer at Under-18s level in the WAFL, averaging 14.9 disposals in 12 matches. Represented Western Australia at Under-19s level in two matches this year as he continued his development.

A sensible and logical choice in drafting a small defender given we delisted Jetta, Lockhart and Hore and were a little light on in that area as I previously mentioned earlier in this thread. McVee looks to be from the same club as Woewodin, so our scouts must of liked what they saw from him while focusing on Woey Jnr.

Looked at his WAFL profile and saw he's listed at 195cm tall. bit short for a ruck?

Not sure Sprigg has stopped growing and could be wrong but think he’ll be around the 200+ range now.  Watched him playing for Wesley College, shot up a fair bit in the last 12/18 months. Was the dominant ruckman in PSA this season, with good skills for a big man. Has nice soft hands at the tap and a nice bit of mongrel.

Having said all that I believe he may be being highly sought after the WACA and cricket Australia as a fast bowler

Bad luck for Lockhart, was mentioned in the paper GWS might pick him up

No Senior or A Rookie spots left.

For those above not too sure of the numbers, this thread (pinned at the top of he main forum) might help.

Hopefully they have a list spot and will let him train over summer. Fingers crossed.

because we had 2 MSD selections to replace LTIs we had to shed 2 extra players off our rookie list in total, so in Nietschke and declase we did that and that had us level with where we were at pre season last year then the jordon upgrade gave us the spot to take Mcvee today. AMW replaces bradtke but we could've kept him on if we'd wanted to as we can have 2B rookies regardless of the rest of our lists make up and we only have 1

The Dogs reigned supreme in 2018 with an inaugural AFLW premiership cup and the Demons matched this feat by winning the cup as the Season 7 2022 champions.Meggs wasn’t born when the Doggies won their first VFL premiership cup against the Demons in 1954. Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.
