Print sizes and prices for Demons Max and Jack painting, title: ‘Melbourne Footy Club Premiership Year 2021’

2 grades of paper = 230gsm and 310 gsm (Archival Museum Art grade)

3 print sizes all available at either 230gsm or 310gsm, hence price choice below. The pic is the ‘small’ size on 310 paper, the ‘large’ on 230. The MFC cap is for size relativity. I’m absolutely wrapt with both, but the 310 does have marginally better ‘pop’ in colour/tonal contrast. It makes no difference to me which one anyone chooses.

Each print will also have a 15mm white border allowing flexibility for framing (not in the demo pic below), comes in a cylinder roll, are individually signed and numbered, and with included ‘notes on the painting’ as separate (to potentially put on back of whatever framing).

Prices (excluding postage, which will be ~ $15)
*Small (60cm x 40cm) = $90/$120
*Large (83cm x 62cm) = $140/$180
*Original (122cm x 81.3cm) = $220/$300

To avoid postage cost, I’ll happily arrange for prints to be picked up at my place in Collingwood (you can have a coffee in Smith St, Time Out magazine’s official ‘coolest street in the world’ as voted a couple of months ago, and check out some of my other art, footy inspired or not).

*Taking orders now, so personal message me, and with any other questions.

Great skills there Webber. Since everyone likes a different version of the Clarry goal how about a 3 part piece like Frederick McCubbins The Pioneer.

Hey Demonlanders, if anyone out there has contact details for @joeboy, other than via personal messaging on here, could they let me know via messaging. Trying to organise a print framing situation.

Hi @Webber Joeboy posted this a while back, hope it helps:

Thought I’d let you know that I have a picture framing outlet in Fountain Gate Shopping Centre, Narre Warren

We’re called Hang Up and we’re located upstairs opposite Target.

Mention you’re a friend of Joeboy and you’ll get mate’s rates.👍

Thanks. Will pass it on…

I bought one of these.  It arrived in 2 days,  I opened it and started bawling.  It is sensational and will last the test of time next to my herald sun poster.

Highly recommend if still available.

They are. My print-makers are way until mid January, so after then. Just enough time to get the other two of the triptych underway and ready before season’s start. Planning to make them available as a pair……for the completists 😉

The framer sent me a text telling he'd finished with the framing of my Max Pic and I could come and get it, got there and they'd closed for the day, Monday it is then.

I've got the perfect spot for it and you won't be able to miss it when you walk through the front door.

I'm just watching the replay now, and the moment after Max kicked the goal and Jack picked him up has to be the most memorable of the final; series. I love the GF but this game has a special place in my heart.

Are these the beginnings of the tryptich?

They are. By preferred viewing, the bottom one will sit on the right side of Max and Jack, the top on the left. They are 30% smaller than the Max and Jack, which is the centrepiece.

  • WHAT’S NEXT? by The Oracle

What’s next for a beleagured Melbourne Football Club down in form and confidence, facing  intense criticism and disapproval over some underwhelming recent performances and in the midst of a four game losing streak? Why, it’s Adelaide which boasts the best percentage in the AFL and has won six of its last seven games. The Crows are hot and not only that, the game is at the Adelaide Oval; yet another away fixture and the third in a row at a venue outside of Victoria. One of the problems the Demons have these days is that they rarely have the luxury of true home ground advantage, something they have enjoyed just once since mid April.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • PREGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide

With their season all over bar the shouting the Demons head back on the road for the third week in a row as they return to Adelaide to take on the Crows. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
