Petracca - knee, round 22

Oliver - shoulder, round 23

5 points down against the Dogs with 30 seconds left in the game. Jayden Hunt (just back into Grand Final side after his ankle) makes a crazy, flying intercept from a Caleb Daniel bullet to Aaron Naughton inside their forward 50 and he takes off……3 bounces, runs around Macrae, handballs over Libbers head to take it back himself, spots both Kozzy and Nathan Jones (on as medi-sub in the last 10 minutes) two out against Bontempelli just out of the goal square. Hunty roosts it…….Kozzy perches on the shoulders of Bont, takes his inevitable one-handed mark of the year, lands on his feet, and while the Bont is on his haunches, slips a handball to Jonesy, who takes 5 more strides and slams it into the 2nd tier of a max allowed capacity 40,000 at the ‘G. Dees premiers with 2 seconds left on the clock, and I’m there to see it!

oops…….wrong thread.

I can see us winning the first two finals games in complete control and then on the Grand Final day not kicking a goal until just before half time to be only 9 goals down.    How is that !

Or alternatively After a BBQ in Yarra Park and a lovely stroll down the hill to the G about 1.45, I sit there and watch as we get thumped literally and figuratively (88 and 2000 anyone ?) by who ever wants the final win more than we do. Basically us thinking the hard work was done by reaching the GF. when its only just started !

I’d say in the ultimate twist of irony, the rapture, followed by biblical apocalypse, will occur two minutes prior to the final siren of a grand final Melbourne is leading by 5 goals.
In the cruelest insult of all, Beelzebub himself will manifest himself in the stadium to announce that the match will be called off before devouring the premiership cup and immediately defacating it as a pile of molten slag in front of a bevy of inconsolable Melbourne supporters.

Are there lyrical content categories?

“Its a long way from the top when you’re an MFCSS troll…” (sing along at home, kids!)

Jesse having big day out :(

Melb in front by 5 goals at 3/4 time against the Cats with the premiership seemingly in our grasps. A delay to the start of the qtr due to lightning gives the tired Cats an extra 15 minutes. The Cats run over the top of Melbourne with Hawkins kicking a goal after the siren due to a blocking free.

Not sure if its been said but...

Oliver lining up for goal three feet out  with us five points down and five seconds left.

Melbourne winning the premiership in front of a strong booing crowd in Perth with none of us able to attend.
Mark McGowen handing the premiership medal to Gawn and declaring him and hot spot.

Just now, Grand New Flag said:

We lose to Geelong next week, then Covid closes down the finals and Geelong is declared the premier.

You win.
