Staff wages??

Has that damn Mr Wilberforce abolished slavery at The Manor?

Outrageous ?

Mmmmm I’m not confident that wages at The Manor would comply with current legislative requirements Mono !

I’m more your master/ servant type of employer. I would have been cutting edge in the 1860’s

A 7-0 is equivalent to 186.

I haven't been to a Victory game for a few years but there must be something rotten at the core of the club to serve up efforts like last night.

The boys didn’t look like they were having any enjoyment of the game, and were not putting in for the coach.

whoever the conditioning coach is should be sacked too. What a terrible run with injuries we’ve had!

Tempting fate in writing this:  Buddy injured so will miss our game in 3 weeks.  We have been very lucky so far with our opps 'outs' - it has to run out sometime...

Edit  and, Hickey out for a month or two.

Swans will be out of gas by then. They wont play finals.  I can see us beating them by 100 with May, Fritsch, Brown all back.

Oh yes. A player with speed is always an asset on the grass of the MCG. He always cracks in and he'd really put the acid on our opponents. We'd be dopes if we made a hash of this opportunity -- we'd smack ourselves. What a downer that would be. He's always good in junk time too. Get him into the joint.

Can you believe Geelong put Danger back on the field??  Who knows if this would have impacted his ankle further

Danger 32 at the start if next season.

We have also lost our bookends, and our other two KP forwards have yet to grace the field.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

The Demons are finally back at the MCG and finally back on the winners list as they continually chipped away at a spirited Kangaroos side eventually breaking their backs and opening the floodgates to run out winners by 6 goals.
