Tomlinson. Season

Spargo. Test

May. Test

Joel Smith Test

Hunt available

Spargo should be passed fit.  Melksham on standby.
May should be passed fit.
Hunt could be considered for medi sub … though Goodwin is ultra conservative and so expect Jordon to be medi sub again.

On the Sunday Footy Show Goody said scans showed he had a 6cm tear and in a normal season he would miss up to 7 weeks.
Hurt it again in the second half.
Had 14 touches and conceded 1 goal.
What a warrior.

Nothing was gonna even come close to stopping him from Playing. He could’ve snapped his other hammy and he would’ve kept on going. I love Maysie so much.

I reckon he was trying to protect it early. In the second half he said ‘stuff it’ and went all out.

Still surprised we didnt have Hunt as sub given it was clear May was a risk. But all is well that ends well.

I rate Naughton as high as any forward in the comp, he’s the best mark in the league. May restricted him to 4 marks.

I wonder if he got it jabbed. Because with that type of tear you’d surely be limping. But what a courageous effort he absolutely nullified Naughton.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
