Suit yourself mate.  I’m not here to spread a rumour but just inform other supporters who might be interested.

How the hell would he know, this is just another garbage thread based on baseless rumors and everyone is getting taken in

And yet you still come on here to put in your 2 cents worth everytime you continue to bore everyone with the same comment.

If this thread riles you up old man feel free to ignore it.

If people want to continue to discuss this then they have every right too. Its a football discussion.

OMG   Does Oliver own a phone?  Does anyone know his phone number? Will someone please call him and ask him what he wants to do?

Hello? That is what journalism used to be. Now it seems to be reporters writing about rumour and speculation.

Hope next year doesn't turn into another Jesse Hogan farce, will he won't he leave, with regards to Oliver. After this [censored] of a year I am well and truly over that sort of rubbish.

Would you trade him to Essendon for Zach Merrett and pick 6?

Nope

Still can’t fathom what Carlton offers over us in terms of likelihood of premiership success.

DD is a bit like Sam Newman around the golfing saga. He'll yell, scream and throw a tantrums because he wants people to take notice of him. But then people just eventually ignore him and he'll fizzle out and becomes irrelevant to the point we forget he actually still exists.  Just one of those old timers who struggles to keep of with the reality of time. Ignore him and this place is a much better place.

Carlton haven’t been able to buy success since 1995, and how much time has Clayton had to compare the quality of facilities and the so called ‘blueprint’? I could understand if it was collingwood/Richmond/Geelong but the blues?

Pretty easy these days to present an online video of the facilities. Princess Park is a great facility. What blueprint. I believe there is another power club in his managers ear.

Now that’s laughable

He’ll be with us next year beyond that who knows? Carlton are no chance of getting him

So you are not laughing at the facilities now, or the eight Premierships they have won since our last or the deep pockets and business links of their big end of town supporters.

They’re barely better than a basket case, Oliver is already contracted to one, he’s not leaving to go to another

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
