I will not be after a refund, too many years nil return anyway,

what I would like returned is my respect of the players,  once they win some games.

and give value to us supporters that become members for years in a row.

and some recognition from the club ( not personal) to the members for their support. What that might be I have nfi.

this virus has shot 2020 down in flames, at least no one will forget this year,

I am becoming jaded and bored !

still I can look down and see my feet,

stay well

People might also find themselves in the dole queue now when 6 months ago they wouldn't have ever foreseen that. To not be understanding that circumstances have changed considerably for everyone, not just the AFL and clubs, is extremely ignorant.

I haven't been impacted (yet) and hopefully I won't be - but I'm not going to guilt trip others who may be experiencing extremely tough times at the moment.

I understand that, but I am not sure you are understanding where I am coming from. People may have made a choice to purchase a new car six months ago, should they have the right to ask for a refund on that vehicle? Before you tell me that it’s not the same and they’ve still can some something of value, understand that they’d make a significant loss and no one yet knows if there will be a season that will offer members something of value or whether the membership would be credited to next year/season.

I understand people are hurting and in need of money, but refunds from businesses will kill that business. I am not sure people understand how much the clubs need money. The money was parted with months ago.

I am not interested in an argument, as I am worried enough with all that is going on and have no doubt we are one of the clubs facing insolvency within weeks. We sold all assets and were banking on gate taking revenue from several blockbusters this year a d increased membership sales to keep our heads above water. That’s all out the window.

I have both an MFC & AFL club support membership. In place of a refund, i would rather see the entire cost of my AFL club support membership (approx $600) go to the club, instead of the usual percentage they would normally receive.

Given Collingwood and Richmond are 2 of the 4 clubs that are allegedly bullet proof financially, I would hope that Melbourne are scheduled at least one home blockbuster next year - either Anzac eve or QBday.

I know we’re not scheduled to host either marquee game next year, but it would be a kick in the guts if the other mobs get the gate revenue for both events.

Perhaps Collingwood and Richmond will agree to split the gate with us  just for next year. And then business as usual after that.

we should get both blockbusters as it is still our turn. this years non event can't possibly count

no sharing required

though i don't like the way it has turned into 2 one year, zero the next year loop. So, we could share one next 2 years then revert to 1 per year so income is consistent year to year

If the AFL is back up and running before QB, i reckon we should still host ANZAC eve next year , that way we are able to have one big game each year (as it should have been in the first place).

If the competition hasn't kicked in by QB, then we should host both games next year, followed by hosting one of the 2 games each year.

Even if it comes back by Queen's Birthday (which is extremely unlikely) there won't be any supporters allowed in negating the benefits of hosting it.

Very true Gonzo.

The AFL finding new indirect ways of shafting us. They should foot the entire bill for our new training ground (if we are ever able to find one)!!!

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
