Why cant we play like that all the time.

Fritta = gun.

First game of the year I can’t watch even if I wanted to, and we are winning.  Typical.

Amazing when you put a natural goal kicking forward... in a position to actually kick goals

And then kick it to his advantage occasionally

Petracca is a mid

Jones is a forward or retired

Fritsch is a forward

Hunt is a forward

Makes a big difference when players play in the right bloody spots

The commentators are barracking for North WTF?

DID YOU TELL THE MATCH COMMITTEE????

Nice mark Maxy.

If he can buddy up with Preuss in the off season and get him fit and get him to drop 8kg then Preuss could become a much more mobile  and effective in 2020

Just what we didnt need.....

Every marking contest inside 50 is a free kick if not marked now. Absolutely contrived AFL agenda to raise scoring. It's ridiculous and unwatchable

87% kicking efficiency what the!  Not sure if thats just this quarter but ive never seen an MFC team anywhere near that...or any team for that matter!  Average across AFL is approx 68$%

These commentators are only concerned about Ben Brown and North. Frees 15 to 9?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
