Enjoy an evening of FREE family fun with the Melbourne Football Club at Bunjil Place this summer!
To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of MFC’s partnership with the City of Casey, we’re teaming up to throw an epic party on Wednesday 13 February and everyone’s invited to join in the fun.
Meet your favourite AFL players, join in some footy activities and even challenge them in a range of fun games from Mario Kart and table tennis to shooting some hoops or giant Jenga.
This event is not just for footy enthusiasts; with FREE ice cream for the first 180 people, face painting, music and loads more summer fun, there’s something for everyone.
There will be a FREE screening of Jumanji 2 on the big screen from 6.00 pm, so kick back on a beanbag once the activities are over and enjoy a family movie under the stars.

They are trying to open this club up for the people.

... I hope all barrackers/supporters will make an effort and oblige this fantastic offering.

I just Google mapped the directions from my place, and the current travel time is 1 hour 30 minutes.  I finish work at 4:30pm, so that would see me getting to the ground, at best, at 6pm.

If you think for one minute that I'm going to oblige and attend this event, just to get there in time to watch the opening credits of Jumanji 2, then you think wrong.

I appreciate that this is to celebrate the 10 year partnership with Casey, so it makes sense to have it out that way.  It does put great restrictions on the supporters that can attend though.

Well you've made some effort then, chazza.

I won't be there, so will expect you to post photos and a report thanks DV8.

Out of curiosity, what's your residing postcode?

I'm 2.5Hrs away from it.   And I am doing my bit to get this fun family night noticed, chazza.

I doubt I will be able to get there and have no kiddies to take as well.   My boy is mid 30's. and somewhere in Melbourne? don't know who he barracks for.

Back in the heartland...half the people that show up will be wearing St Kilda jumpers.

Hopefully they do a similar night somewhere in the region where the majority of MFC supporters live. They did an open night training at Toorak Park a few season's ago. It was very well attended.

I live 5 minutes away but you will find that most people out this way are ^%$#%$& Richmond supporters.

This is not necessarily a spruik for business, but I happen to have a picture framing business in Fountain Gate shopping centre ( t/a Hang Up) which is next to Bunjil Place, so if anyone wants to drop off framing before attending the pre season launch, I’d be pleased to offer a 25% discount to anyone who mentions ‘Demonland’.

( mods feel free to remove this offer if you deem it inappropriate)

When the demons win the flag I shall come to you with my premiership paraphernalia to be framed!

So they need new jumpers and paraphernalia then ?

tell them to buy some 'merch' before it becomes famous.

I'd love to take on JV in a cart race.

I welcome anything the club does to promote itself in the Casey region, but once again they ignore the fact that most of their members work. They would get a much better response holding this event on the weekend.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
