Stuff the afl, how dare they prioritise broadcasters so blatantly and leave us with a 5 day break to deal with

I actually thought you were meaning the following week, when if we get through the first week, we will play the loser of Hawks/Tigers who will then have the extra day break having played the night before us.

win on Friday and barrack like hell for Collingwood on the Saturday ... sounds like a plan.

Funnily enough I fear Geelong most (MFCSS perhaps) but get past them and who knows.

Trust that the coaching brains trust have it worked out as I'm sure the Geelong coaches will have a plan for Oliver and Gawn.

Why barrack for Collingwood? Surely we’d fancy ourselves in a prelim against West Coast in Perth - we’ve already done the job once.

To be honest though I’m actually beastly careless about any of the other results. They’re all tough opponents, so the relief and excitement over any win we get, or the disappointment of a loss, will pretty much swamp any other feelings or thoughts.

Gee it’s great in theory but I need Collingwood out of the finals as quickly as possible.

The lid is off here.

Just had a coffee bought to me in bed (Happy Fathers Day to all Demonlanders) and was trying to decide after we win the Cup this year if we would be a Western Bulldogs one hit wonder. For some reason I believe this group is set for a long term dynasty and we are more than likely to go back to back

Agree... looking back to '88 and 2000 those were years in which a number of players had stand out seasons. This group on the other hand are in the main performing to their expected ability.

Of course to win one let alone a couple of flags requires Lady Luck to favour us just a little.

Happy Fathers Day

Fascinating little exercise

The computer result is encouraging ;)

So going by the modelling we are fourth favourite to win (9%), behind the Pies (12%), WCE (13%) and the Tigers are huge favourites at (48%). That sort of feels about right but I think they have the Tigers a bit hot at almost flip a coin between them and everyone else put together

Well the road is certainly now paved and the potholes well and truly filled.

Off to see GWS v Pies tonight after the game down at Port. Hoping to see a good performance by GWS as a lead up to their game against Richmond.

May even dust off the old vehicle and do some Nullabor wanderings this week towards Perth.

Those roadside stops look positively inviting.

The only finals teams I fear are the Hawks and the Tigers. Everyone else can bring their best and we can take it.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
