The Demons' good publicity wagon keeps rolling on... Neitz and Melbourne look to fire up in 2007.

Great story about the skipper as he nears his 3ooth game.

Yes, I'm fully aware that good PR doesn't necessarily translate into premierships but there's been a good feel about almost everything that's been aired or published in the media during the pre-season. Lots of positive articles about the stability and strenght of the club, its leadership and the players and we seem to be gaining the respect of the football world. No political scraps, few injuries, no discontented players or supporters. I hope the good news keeps coming when we start playing real games.

After looking at the article picture for the 1st time with the guy on the left in a yellow suit then the 4 on the right with a standed firemans jacket i thaught oh it's nieta and the vice captains in that order (which would have ade sence) and being a bit blurry it even looked a bit that way. Not until i had read the caption did I realise it was Brock in the yellow suit and the rest of the leadership group... maybe the age is getting a bit ahread of it's self... where was it writen Nieta said ""Two years. I said last year I'd have two more and that would be it, so I'm sticking with that again this year," he said. "I might still be saying that when I'm 40.""? oh thats right the same article... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Great story about the goals Neitz and the team have for the coming year

Although we are get exposure to the public, which is good for our profile, I hope that will all the expectation does not come back and bite us, and we play badly this year. But its highly unlikely.

Bring on season 2007 now, cant wait for it to start :)

Yes lot's of positive media at this time of year (for all clubs except Carlton) but I think we're pushing the Bohdan Bab?????? line a bit too much. Granted we need to be fitter than we have in the past but if I read another MFC article talking about his training regime! Thankfully this one didn't mention it.

I'm going into the 07 season with NO expectations as I have been gutted in the past. I reckon they will finish the year 5th...some room if they do well...some more room if they blunder!

Has anyone mentioned Aaron Davey signing on for another three years?

That's really the type of news I want to read about the club and not another puff piece about how one of our players is training the house down, having the best preseason yet and looking like an Adonis.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
