Boys enjoying themselves in Bali

Self flagellation can take a break for a moment.

I'm happy the fellas are taking some time off.

I also hope that as soon as the trip ends, there is a realisation that nothing has changed.

They still missed the finals by .05 percent because of hubris.

Radio reporting eruption of Mnt Agung volcano is imminent. Planes refueling in Darwin in case they have to turn back.....Bali bombings, Asian Tsunamis, yup our post season.......seriously.... only Melbourne.

Max back doing what he loves, being a barista. Worked Monday at a local fitness centre in High St Armadale pouring coffee.

As soon as Gawny said "I'm probably going to go for a run today" in his "I'm Shattered, We're All Shattered" video, I knew they didn't actually care all that much about being as good as they can be. "Probably going for a run" is something I do as a halfway fit IT student. A professional footy player should be a little more committed than that.

Such a silly post.

When I first read it, I thought it said "fiscally"

I hope they do enjoy themselves, avoid the eruption (of the volcano at least).  They are young men.  If they are smart and look after each other, I hope they have a brilliant time and come back refreshed and ready to go when the bell rings on the pre-season soon enough.

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
