Hawthorn's Defense

Featured Replies

Cameron Mooney declared Hawthorns defense as the best defensive effort all year against Adelaide. He said that Adelaide average 122points per game at home & to hold them to 82 points was the best effort all year he claimed inparticular there 2nd half when they held Adelaide to 24 points in the second half. i am not knocking Hawthorn's defensive effort here but what about the Demons defensive effort against Adelaide there in round 8. Has he forgotten about that or is it again that we get no respect. Adelaide had 6.6.42 at the 17min mark of the second quarter against us & we held them to 3.6.24 for the rest of the game.

The media stooges will do anything to pump up the tires of the established powerhouse clubs and AFL darlings (e.g. Swans/GWS), case in point the number one play of this week's "The 10"

The lack of knowledge for so called professional broadcasters and commentators is frightening.

Selling papers to these desperate supporters, looking for any ray of sunshine from the arse end of the sinking titanic?  Collingwood and Hawthorn stories will abound.

hope we go under the radar and simply keep winning.  The media flea pit will keep writing to sell papers.  Any half baked idea makes a half pager.

Strangely, the siege mentality is actually getting stronger now that we're not the beaten dogs of the comp and seem to have the AFLHQ/umpiring/tribunal/media slowly turning in our favour. I get the feeling Melbourne fans are going to be quite unbearable if we actually win a flag.

I agree with Mooney; Hawthorn have a slow team and choked the life out of the game with a great plan and team effort. In the Melbourne game, Adelaide were beaten by an all out offensive game plan.

Clarkson learnt his ability to defend by protecting the chocolate river from naughty children who had won a golden ticket.

I hope he is available for hire at parties.

I'd quite like to have a Clarko throwing competition .

And I would be very proud to be totally unbearable especially after four on the trot  ?
