They didn't.

Well, maybe not technically, but he was very open about the fact he told Adelaide he wanted to exercise his right to leave for Geelong as a Free Agent. Geelong knew it was such a good deal they then traded for him in order to keep other clubs from offering bigger coin.

Perhaps I should have phrased it more like this 'Geelong got Dangerfield because FA became an option'. Without it I seriously doubt Adelaide would have entertained the trade.

For starters, they've got the best midfield in the comp. They're killing it in the AFL fantasy points!

And some bloke there takes a great grab every week, that's gotta count for something.

Don't be so cynical - everyone knows they are doing it for Bucks!

Take care of business vs the Swans, we will end next round in the top 4.

The weak overrated Cats will not beat GWS.

Joel Selwood just got hit about 2 mins into the Freo Cats game. Will struggle to return

I saw it and cracked up. IF he had "ducked" his head, as usual, he may have been OK. Cannot say a word about Duckwood to my Cat friends as I have been sent to "Coventry" once already this season

Double standards of the AFL re jumper clashes on display again. Carlton & Richmond both 'dark' colour jumpers and no one has any issues or complaints.  should apply this standard to all.

Straining my eyes trying to tell the difference on TV and I'm only a few metres away. Typical AFL hypocrisy.

Was at the Richmond Carlton game. It was by far the worst umpiring display I've seen this year. Kept a 60,000 plus crowd mostly silent apart from mumbling WTF.

I was surprised that we were forced to wear our all white top v Eagles. At the very least we could've worn the one with the Red back on it.

Jeez Geelong have been lucky this year. Richmond is starting to shown how lucky they were at the start of the year when facing quality opposition. They are overrated and do not frighten me in the slightest. We'd be able to beat them in Geelong.

GWS appear to have their groove going but I feel like they will be set for a crumble at some point. I could see them doing a straight sets finals exit.

Very interesting year, and what a great round of footy!

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
