PJ should be given consistent game time this season. Many players don't start feeling comfortable at AFL level for a while, and injuries (and better players) have meant he's struggled to 'own a position' - or even a spot in a 22.

As others have said, I don't think he's a ruck. He always seemed more of a forward when young who was simply played in the ruck because he was very tall for his age.

We need to find out of PJ really has it or not so a decision can be made at the end of the year about his future, either keep him or cut our losses and go onto the next one. The only way of doing that is to give him some decent game time.

Sadly, I just don't think he's AFL material.

I think there has been enough evidence about PJ. Two Clubs, fifth year and the guy cant mark or ruck.

Shows how much value a Liston Medal is!

I have sig. doubts about PJ. The only 'HOWEVER' is that he really hasn't had a sustained stint at AFL level to see whether he can get up to speed. REally his last game wa swans last year, so he may only have played like 4 games for the Dees at senior level. I reckon that it is too soon to write him off...yet.

i thought he played really terribly today. i thought his disposal was shocking and his marking pathetic. i would be happy if he never played another game for us. i dont rate him and he is no answer to our problems. btw he is not a ruckman

Your comments are really harsh and you call yourself a Melbourne "supporter". Did you even watch the game? If you did you would have heard the commentators comment that he was doing well and should be given a chance. Can you honestly say he was the worst out there...I think not. Jamar did NOTHING. So lay off.

Shows how much you know, you forgot to add there has only been one year where he was actually able to play...broken leg, broken collar bone and full shoulder recon have kept him out...haven't seen enough of him to judge.

PJ showed some spark against the cats. He will be given his chances with robbo and neita out. If he shines he will be around for a while.

I like some of the clever taps on the ground he does to advantage and thought he done quite well against Mooney. Myself and my dad thought that was about the only shining light from the match.

If PJ plays next week (which he should) he will start on the bench, then when he comes onto the ground he will probally be put into the forward line and tried there. Then after an assesment on our backline and how well they are doin then PJ will be chosen for the backline.

I thought PJ was good on sunday and showed promise as he did against Sydney last year. I think if he does show good form he will be a backman/forward (soon decided) who can ruck occasionly. PJ has potential and i we just have 2 see what he can do with it.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
