But.. but.. Weideman was the new Lucas Cook last week!

By the end of the day he'll be the new Wayne Carey.

Olisik, who dubbed him as such in relation to Lucas Cook, can't watch footy any better than a blind man could.

2.9 to 1.0 at qtr time. Hope they don't make us pay

The good news is that Casey dominated the play in the opening quarter with the wind.

The bad news is the score at QT -

Casey Scorpions 2.9.21 to Coburg 1.0.6

Are you at the ground KC? How strong is the wind?

There's a live stream on the VFL website. Quality not too bad.

Wasteful first quarter. Weideman has been good. The usual suspects busy but not overly effective. Salem's playing and has had a few (mainly ineffective) touches.

It's not the wind, Plapp failed to get them to do 2 hours extra goal kicking practice at training

I'm sure you know why people line you up when they have the chance..

You're a legend.

Scorps getting heaps of goal-kicking opportunity, they'll be dead eye dicks by the end of this.

I know, but it was there and I couldn't resist it:wub:

I'll do a bit of self flagellation

KC c'mon don't tease, why? I am leading the charge for him to get a new contract

Anyone else and I'd have a little chuckle. Very concerned you may be serious however.

Semi serious:ph34r:, seeing if I can get Demonland to melt, just glad that the club have given him the chance to show that he might be a valuable pick up, probably one of the state leagues, think the AFL has passed him by, gave it everything, every chance he got

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
