But again, Saty, you contradict yourself.  How can you talk to the players about gameplans and tactics, when you've never played the game at AFL level?  Your thoughts or questions should matter little as you wouldn't know what's going on, based on your belief that if you've never played at the highest level then your opinion means little.

As for Spencer, while I understand why he has been given another year, I understand why others don't agree as well.  Spencer is nothing more than insurance for Gawn, and with the King boys still a few years away in terms of development, he was our last ruckman left outside of Gawn.  He hasn't, however, shown much at AFL level and all supporters would be hoping that he stays as insurance and nothing more.

I don't offer an opinion to the players, I ask why something occurred in a game, or what role they are playing, or what the coaches expect, or where they think they need to improve,  to give me a better understanding of the game and the team,   eg  I asked Jack Watts whether his and Hogan's game against Gold Coast where they seemed to lead to take at least 3 or 4 defenders away from the fat side of the ground as we attacked to leave space for the midfielders to lead into was actually planned.

I do congratulate them if they've had a good game........the players are not fans of supporters who come up to them offering advice on where they went wrong in a game, as one supporter found out at training

Let me think Gawn has been at the Club for 5 years until the last year hasn't shown anything at AFL level, a million posts on here to attest to that

Spencer has had a rotten run with injuries over the whole of his career at MFC and was stuck behind Jamar and not being developed properly in his first few years, has actually shown real progress since Roos brought Stafford in but still can't get a clean run at it, hopefully this year could be it

From the Casey game today "  jake spencer kicks a goal from outside 50 " although it must be said it is only the VFL

Posts seem to be about how clever mfc has been.  I would like to complement Jake for signing up for just one year.  

It is hard to imagine that as an FA, he could not get at least a 2 year deal elsewhere as a backup player and more chance of playing afl rather than vfl with Casey.  Also not much security for him in this contract.

I see no upside for him in this deal so he must be very loyal and or really enjoying himself. I tip my hat to him for accepting only one year and delighted he is staying.
