Got to hand it to the club for keeping these picks a mystery.

I'm going to go Francis at pick 7 with Parish at 3 given that was my first thought on 3 & 7. Probably more a case of who I would pick and also following the recruiter's wise old adage to "if in doubt" always go with your first impression.

Francis hasn't had as much of a chance as others to show what he can do up forward.

I suggested this 2 weeks ago to be told on here it was impossible

Is it now possible?

You know the poll is up [censored] creek without a paddle when "other" has as many votes as it has.

I reckon Other could be a real force for us in a few years. Probably the most versatile of the lot.

Not unlike Extras in cricket.

Very weird leaving out Weideman and Francis in this poll , I would have thought they would be huge chances to be picked up at 7

it is because it was based purely on the op's phantom draft where certain players weren't available at p7 (p10)

waste of everyone's time iyam

Curnow will be there at 7. I'm not too sure on Francis being there at 7 but he would be handy.

Everything I've seen of "other" suggests to me that the kid will be elite and the pick of this draft within 2-3 years.

Still hoping that darn cornetto is available at 7!

Changed my vote from Other to Collins.

Just a gut feeling.

I still think Other has a good chance

How did he go at Draft camp?

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons return to the MCG wounded, undermanned and desperate. Still searching for their first win of the season, Melbourne faces a daunting task against the Fremantle Dockers. With key pillars missing at both ends of the ground, the Dees must find a way to rise above the adversity and ignite their season before it slips way beyond reach. Will today be the spark that turns it all around, or are we staring down the barrel of a 0–6 start?
