I don't sorry, but the idea wasn't mine I must stress I simply made a cleaner version of it.

There were a few of us who seemed to come up with similar designs..variations on themes etc. I'll look later :)

I miss our old clash, which was predominately red with the white demon, if i recall correctly. Couldn't find it on the internet, but it brings back good memories for me.

you mean one of these?

nah

The top one looks like the Demon was late into the frame and they couldn't be stuffed taking a better picture.

Steer clear of the caricatures I reckon.

All red with our venerable navy blue monogram on the front gets my vote .

Red isn't going to happen, it will most likely be white.

Essendon says Hi...... I friggin hate Essendon !!!

The best alternate strip would be a simple one just do the opposite of our traditional one. We should have a blue V and the rest of the jumper red.

Red isn't going to happen, it will most likely be white.

I still want the AFL to please explain why, if Gold Coast can wear red against us then why can't we wear red against sides who our dark blue clashes with

I've always wanted the seventies Royal blue and red as an alternate strip.

I'd love it even more now as a tribute to Robbie.

The current strip is sort of okay, but far too much like the Swans for my liking, If pure red and navy (a la BB's designs, or a simple reversing of the colours on the home jumper) is not "different" enough, then I would favour the light blue replacing the white. Any blue and red is better than anything with white, IMHO.

BTW if the Dogs can sometimes have a red clash jumper, why can't we? (oops, trying to use logic on AFL decisions again --- my bad :lol: )

I like the training jersey the one with the monogram. Use that one in white and we will be set. Also I agree the current one is the best we have had for a looooooong time. Also it seems to be lucky for us last year.

It's a valid point.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
