We gavePicks 61&79

We got Garlett & 83

I thought 61 would be for frost!

Why not try?

3 to Port

Wines to Melbourne

Port get to use 3 for Paddy R

Because they are not going to give up Ollie Wines

Doggies should demand one of Cameron/Patton/Boyd for Griffen. That would be fair and would fill their need.

For a 29 year old who has some injury issues.

The Purple Headed Warrior has thrown up a possible trade of Griffen to GWS and picks 4 and 7 to the Dogs.

Lol.

That last part is fascinating. Petracca also said we asked the hardest questions and it took him a few minutes to answer something we asked.

Roos comes across as such a personable and approachable type. Obviously likes to see how draftees cope under pressure. He must be quite different behind closed doors.

Or who knows, maybe he's just incredibly revered by draftees and that boils the nerves.

I recall reading somewhere that Roosy would ask questions like "Do you really want to be a professional footballer? Or have you just always been good at it and just gone with the flow?" For people used to being treated like God's gift to the world, being asked questions like this are probably a slap in the face ...

So to everyone throwing stones at Collingwood, let's get some perspective shall we? Beams is genuine A-grade. Not the Magpie's best player, but easily 2nd best and given his age and Collingwood's list profile he is super important. So I have put together a list of all the 18 AFL clubs along with a player with the same currency in each team. Now if you're a supporter of one of these 17 other teams, let me ask you if you would take picks 5 and 25 for your club's contracted gun below?

Adelaide - Taylor Walker
Brisbane - Pearce Hanley
Carlton - Bryce Gibbs or Marc Murphy
Collingwood - Dayne Beams (obviously)
Essendon - Dyson Heppell
Fremantle - Hayden Ballantyne
Geelong - Mitch Duncan/Stephen Motlop
Gold Coast - Dion Prestia
GWS - Adam Treloar
Hawthorn - Jordan Lewis
Melbourne - n/a
North Melbourne - Todd Goldstein
Port Adelaide - Robbie Gray/Chad Wingard
Richmond - Dustin Martin
St Kilda - n/a
Sydney - Luke Parker/Daniel Hannebery
West Coast - Josh Kennedy
Western Bulldogs - Tom Liberatore
That is from a Collingwood supporter commenting on a Fox Footy photo about Collingwood making Beams stay.
Where the [censored] does he get off? Not only would all of those clubs do that deal in a heart beat to help someone get home, but to put "n/a" as Melbourne and St Kilda's best player, Tyson, Vince, Viney, Dunn? Stevens, Montagna? I hate that club so much, so very much.
Typical Collingwood scum.

Jones by any chance?

Wikipedia: 'Collingwood selected ten players on its list who were "untouchable", and the Bears could take any two players outside this list, as well as the Collingwood Magpies' first round draft pick, in exchange for Buckley." So, Pick 12 and 2 ordinary players!!

For Beams, Lions should get their top 10 'untouchables' together, present it to Collingwood and let them take 2 outside the top 10...same as the Buckley deal!!

You are saying we give up 3 and 23 and get 21 back and Jaksch and either Shiel or Coniglio.

Where do I sign. Don,t let the GWS List Manager out of the room until I get there. Tell him I am on my way.

He should have included Jones for Melbourne, but besides that I absolutely agree with him.,

Beams is a young gun, and i would most definitely not accept pick 5 and a second rounder for him.

I guess its easy for us to criticise Collingwood for playing hardball, but I would expect nothing less coming out of demonland if the shoe was on our foot.

You are also completely off your face if you are putting Viney, Vince and Dunn in the same boat as Dayne Beams.

Its amazing how much we love to overrate our list as soon as the season ends.

Blues trying to get Jaksch , Whiley and 19 from GWS for 7. Great for the Blues if it comes off.

Maybe I don't understand but why did we give up a full 4th round pick and a downgrade to get Garlett who was unwanted, when Blues only give a 12 place downgrade for 2 players.

I think we are soft in the negotiating department.

If MC was at Collingwood or Essendon they would want half of Cats' list for him and we look like getting only Lumumba.

Prove me wrong Dees, get what we need for Frost, as some extra in the MC deal.
