GAMEDAY - Round 23

Faaaark. This is why players like Riley who can't kick shouldn't be playing.

I am so sick of this playing list and their total and utter lack of class and composure. Revolting.

riley should have been delisted weeks ago. Useless.

One quarter to go folks. Well done all for making it this far.

What's the definition of insanity?

Doing the same thing over and over.

On that basis ALL of us are INSANE!

God where's my rum.

Cross?

anyone who is watching fox footy have they actually said Max has done a knee? Isnt it up to the boundary rider to check with the doctors on the seriousness of the injury.

I've heard nothing on the coverage so not sure where people are getting the info his done his knee ?

God Brad Scott is a whinging biach.

My wife headed for bed after I kicked the laptop and a wine glass across the living room when Jeremy Howe "centred" the ball from the back pocket.

Fair dinkum, if they assessed football IQ, we would be in the imbecile category.

Hope Saints win tomorrow so we finish where we belong.

Cross?

Cross is a 200 game player with immense leadership and can actually kick

stupid comparison.

Awesome Mckenzie is in the centre.

We've got this now.

stupid comparison.

So is it a delisted player or a less than 200 game player. Cross''s disposal is not always great. Ask any dogs supporter

HAHA Ben Brown is killing us!

pathetic Dunn!

riley should have been delisted weeks ago. Useless

Saw him against GWS win the ball on the wing the kick across the ground to the opposite wing to a contest, but it fell short a GWS player marked it and kicked a goal. I wasn't impressed. Then the next thing he gets a contract extension along with Bail & Terlich WTF 3 NQRs.

Dawes is going nuts.

That's 3 goals he has cost us.

I was thinking about this the other day. I believe our backline in particular have less than half a brain between them.

That's with Garland not even playing today.

and Dr. Chris Dawes is the so called genius of the team...

Dawes has cost us 4 Goals.

[censored] weak Dawes. [censored] weak.

We are a [censored] joke. Thank god this season is over. Wish I could just move on and stop supporting this rubbish.

Because he's a Melbourne player, and also because he punched the bloke in the chin, late*.

(*Not entirely sure that's what happened, that's how it appeared to me though)

He's trying his hardest though, isn't he?

Dawes needs to come off NOW

FK OFF Dawes you absolute MUPPET!!!!!!

ch7 just showed the dawes incident. What an idiot. Why would he do that? He's meant to be a leader. You now miss home and away games and not pre season ones now dont you? So r1 next year we could be missing dawes. Moron

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
