GAME DAY - Round 19

Featured Replies

Since McStay's goal at the 14-minute mark of the first quarter, it's been 13 14 scoring shots to 4.

3.11 to 2.2.

We should be a lot further up.

any chance of a goal instead of fricken points???

Watching Sam Blease run is like sex. Watching Sam Blease kick is like a punch in the balls.

How close would MCKenzie have to be before you were confident he would score a goal?

A handpass is never a goal, so...

Only just back from marketing with the good lady.

Seems like we cant buy a goal.. We really that bad ?

Terrible qtr of football so far.

Roo's sitting in the box looks how I feel

Fairly bad, just that the Lions are worse.

Fairly bad, just that the Lions are worse.

But you have to have that sinking feeling that at some point they'll take the momentum off us and we'll be cooked.

Always a chance with us, but then all we need to do is kick a couple and we look the goods.

gee with scorelines like this you'd think no one actually wanted to win :unsure:

Tapscott off with a knee injury. JKH warming up.

something might happen now

Riley marks at 50. Goes the short pass to a contest. Absolutely disgraceful.

We turn it over, they take it the length of the field and, of course, score a goal.

Watch our heads drop.

A shame for tappy... Glad JKH is coming on.

And after all that work, scores are level again. Will we score another goal today?

we're tanking

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.
