Go. You haven't been that crash hot this year chip and I really think an extra early pick in the draft would be worth more than you.

reliable source, which I cannot divulge. ....... before you ask

No need to ask as I think we all know he is gone and has been for some time.

He is apparently not available to one club and won't talk to them - us.

We will move on.

Any idea where he is headed and if the deal is enough to get us a good compo pick?

That I don't know. As explained by the source, who is in the media, divulging that information would equate to Frawley and/or his manager, by imputation, breaching the rules governing FA, as they - and it's a joke really - cannot be seen to be giving 'in-principle' agreements to any other club, before the actual FA period commences.

I have said this on the Clark thread a few times, but I still hold hope of a Hogan, Clark, Dawes, Howe forward line with say Kent, JKH ,JT and Salem thrown into the mix for the small spots.

How much different would that lineup be with us being straightened up and attacking the forward 50, instead of [censored] farting around with the ball across half back. A few new mids and some improvement in Tyson , Viney, Salem, Toumpas, Barry etc and we would be a different side. Add a Malceski to the half back line and get rid of those poor users of the ball and we are a completely different side.

Fair enough mate,

hopefully he finds the success he is searching for at his new club

If your source is in the media then he may be no more accurate than a Jordie Mac shot at goal from 10 metres out.

True, but let's just say, the media source's ties to the MFC are pretty solid

WYL, I presume you are alluding to Roosy's previous decree that if he knew of any player who had already committed to another club, he wouldn't play him? Therein lies the conundrum for any coach. Stop playing the guy concerned, and you, by inference, confirm to all and sundry that said player is gone and in doing so, you land the player in the shite for breaching FA rules. In short, whether true or not, Roos simply would not want to know right now.

Because he is not gone "officially". This same discussion was happening over on the Collingwood boards regarding Travis Cloke. "why play him when he is gone" - look how that turned out.

I have stated that I believe he will move on but if I wanted to absolutely 100% guarantee that he is gone I would drop him right now because "he is gone" - no quicker was to push a player out the door.

Until a player either makes it public beforehand or tells the club privately he is gone you will not see that player dropped ( other than for form reasons).

As an aside - I thought he looked likely in the first half - very quiet in second half and the only player who remonstrated with Big sauce over his clash with Pedo. If he is poor leader as constantly pointed out here then he is not in a very exclusive club at the MFC.

I agree entirely. But i also believe the club should have a solid answer by now.

If Chip is not talking to his own club then he IS GONE.

Play out the year at Casey...

On you chip.

First decent act of leadership I've seen from you all year as a supporter.

I love how people say Jones would never go as if they knew him personally. . Please

If we are like this next year its see you later Jones. He has bled for this club hard enough. The guy deserves success and most like have a look. At one stage he was regretting signing that 3 year deal up until we signed Roosy.

Again go back and google his contract before the last one - his re-signing meandered as Essendon made a huge play for him.

We all believe what we want to believe.

He was gone months ago. It's all been pretence and hypocrisy.

Would love to see him dropped for the rest of the year with no farewell game or acknowledgement.

He was just about our best on the weekend. He was also the only player to stick up for Cam Pedersen when Daniel Merrett knocked his block off.

It is not that - the whole problem with agreeing to move before seasons end is that it is non binding - more at the insistence of the new club as you wouldn't want to contract a player who had a career ending injury one game before the end of the season with his current club. Therefore dropping a player that you believe to be leaving would do nothing but put him 100% out of the door - if that's the clubs intention then fine - drop him. If they want to keep him then it is a poor strategy that serves no purpose.

Ryan O'Keefe was strongly rumoured to want out of Swans a few years back towards the end of the season and then made it public at seasons end he wanted to get to Hawthorn. They didn't drop him at the end of the season - they did nothing and the deal didn't get done and he played in a premiership side.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
