Chris Dawes on The Footy Show panel

If Hogan doesn't play this season, you'd wanna hope he signs with us for another 2 years or something.
Would be absolutely crapola if the club was patient with him and took all the cautious, supportive approaches only to have him bail to Freo at the end of next year.

he must be blue green which is actually very toxic

The more you know. I'll go ahead and file that up here:

There was absolutely nothing new in the Trengove interview. Typical Footy Show filler.

Barrett should be ashamed of himself for talking crap about Hogans injury. He would have no idea and has made it up. Not fair to the kid or the club. Lower form of life than algae.

I agree that Barrett operates at the bottom of the food chain but he would not be a problem for us if Hoges was playing VFL or AFL or Toumpas or Salem were tearing it up at. AFL level. He would have no ammunition but of course we are the perennial soft target for Barret and Denim because we are always battling with forwards who are injured and first round draft picks who are taking too much time to show their worth and numerous ones who never did.

So was an episode of Hannibal.

Only at Melbourne.

It's never boring following Melbourne, depressing maybe but never boring!!

right there, frickin' depressing, nothing, and l mean NOTHING ever goes right at our club

So was an episode of Hannibal.

I would love to carve up some Barrett and slow cook him for a few days in a fancy Hannibal sauce and then feed him to my dog.

I'd feast on his brain but I dont like peas.

I wonder why Dawesy wants to appear on that show (besides the pot load of cash you get paid to turn up)?
Listening to him at press conferences is a breath of fresh air. He is articulate, measured but sets high standards for himself.

Whenever I finish watching the Footy Show, I feel my IQ has dropped a few points.

Clearly not Damien Barrett - far too highly evolved.

FFS are you people really that naïve, isn't this the same Damien Barrett who only recently reported that Dawes was still at least a month away.

He was also reported on the Hogan injury first and said he was going to miss at least 6 weeks when Dave Misson said he was still a chance for round 1.

Turn it up PSD, he was spot on right from the start and our club needs to pull its finger out in keeping us supporters in the loop first instead of hearing it off the footy show.

The club are probably holding back the truth to try and squeeze out as many memberships as possible.

Once the membership window closes , wevwill probably hear that he is out for the year.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
