Hey guys, recently whilst travelling Vietnam and sitting round bored whilst my girlfriend got dresses made, she had the brilliant idea of getting a duffle coat made for the footy. Got a ripper made up and now want to put some patches on it like my old man had on his in the 70's.

Found a mob online that make patches from jpegs, but are battling to find some old logos online. Have had a look on demon wiki and google images but not finding much.

If anyone knows where to find some old logos/pics ie demon with pitchfork, MFC logo, any type that would make a good patch, post a link or pic or send me in the right direction.

Cheers guys! I'll also put up a pic of the coat, the happy face is due to wearing a thick coat in 35degree heat after watching dress alterations for 2 hours!!!!

Can't help you with the logos, but I hear the club has a bunch of MFC blazers only slightly used for sale if you want one of those as well

;););)

Ha I don't think a blazer would quite suit me. I'd look like Happy Gilmore's caddy when he wears a suit

you look a bit like paul mcartney 1966

No but you might be able to cut the Logos off and use them.

I think you will struggle Redbeartd, back in the 70's they used to give a lot of that stuff away free or for little cost.

Logos etc are now big business.

I honestly think you will have to buy current garments and then cut them up and apply to your Duffle coat.

Costly but likely is the only way forward

That's a ripper beard! Actually quite a good duffle coat too! Don't get a few on here started about the colour of the red though.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I love that eighties logo, reminds me of the light blue and red scarf I had as a kid. Did we ever have a MFC logo like Carlton's one, the letters on top of each other?

Does anyone know if we had any demon logos from golden years of the 50's and 60's?

I'll shoot an email to the club now.

Thanks for your help guys!

Ther is quite a few on google images. Have you tried contacting the club? Also try: http://www.footyjumpers.com/

That's a darn cool site, love how they show the uniform from each year.

Found this patch on eBay, anyone ever seen old style demon logos like this?

Bloody ripper of a patch Biff.

You're right Moon.

I wasn't offering it free to the Redbeard dudes Vietnamese duffle coat-but if a kid is dying of cancer or something I will happily let some Demon freaks bid on it for charity.

Holy carp that Flower patch is amazing. He was my favourite player as a little fella. Mate if you're giving it away it'll be sewn on for sure!

They also may be sold off for the next week's rent or be burnt for heat if they can't cover the rent.

Oh god even Demonland is being overrun by hipsters. Is the new server based in Brunswick?

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
