Glad you noticed strauss towelled him that day Jumbo. Strauss watching closely I'd put as someone who could seriously develop under Roos. He's always had a defend first mantra looking at his stats he doesn't get much of it but he rarely gets beaten and play quite a tight tag. Really believe Roos could now bring out the attacking presence in him and we could. Have a very very serviceable back pocket

Strauss is one of those crossroad players (one of many) we have on our list.

He ignites healthy debate on this forum and I'm solely in his corner. He's composed, pacy and breaks the lines. I think a Roos' regime will work for him.

That's desperate. He doesn't deserve to be drafted by us... Would prefer to play other Melbourne players. He is everything we are trying not to bring to the club, right?

From 2009 to today, his average tackles per game has fallen each and every year. It's not good enough as the game is now focused so much on forward pressure.

We have a glaring need in the FP position, and I'm not meaning this in a racist way, but can't help but think we miss the spark that comes with an indigenous footballer, their general presence and fear in the opposition of knowing anytime they can run you down. Even at over 30 Aaron still scared opponents.

I'd love another fast, defensive minded goal sneak... Just a little bit more consistent than our old mate Aussie though please!

Dayle Garlett would be an excellent get late in the draft if still available. Tell him before drafting him, no matter the form he'll be spending a year in the 2's and see how he feels and attitude after one year.

Kent had a great first year, considering the situation he was in, being a first year forward with limited supply from midfield.

Kent played most games this year and has a lot to build on, with a solid pre season I think he deserves every opportunity. He looked unfit this year, but has the skills and footy brain required to make it.

I would rather Kent then Nahas, just thought he would be better than most late draft prospects.

Don't forget Kent jumped from WAFL colts 2012 to AFL, so in context he handled it extremely well and hopefully, bodes well for his immediate future.

A position that I would say is redundant, it's just taking a while for a few people including some coaches to catch on to the idea.

Good point mate and well said, you're right we don't have a Milne, Betts, Rioli, Motlop someone with a burst of speed and good evasive skills and goal sense, apart from Neville Jetta, but half of my work colleagues are Richmond supporters and all I hear and see about Nahas is negative, I would hate to see us draft hi after his performances at Richnond, he might be better compared to other potential draftees, but his best might be well.below someone else's.

I don't mind this. He is quick. Most of ours aren't.

I've always said and will continue to - once Kent gets confidence he will be an awesome attacking player for our club. I still argue that he will prove to be one of Neeld's best pick UPS.
