Pink Freud 378 Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 He was a number 5 draft pick and had a promising start to his career at Brisbane but now struggles to get a game and is now apparently on the outer. What happened to him and is he worth following up?
Lord Travis 10,819 Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Spent the majority of his career thus far injured. Rumoured to be wanting out to come home to Victoria. IF he is fit, he'd be worth chasing, as he would add pace and skill to our midfield and can kick goals.

Machsy 2,858 Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 That he is. Not sure about his character either.

Machsy 2,858 Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 Just loves himself a bit too much, is what I've heard. Bit of a DH. Don't know first-hand though, but there's gotta be some good reasons why there isn't talk of teams falling over themselves to poach him.
Lord Travis 10,819 Posted September 9, 2013 Posted September 9, 2013 He is from SA Right you are. For some reason I remembered him playing for Vic Metro. I've spent too many years keenly interested in the draft now. Hopefully we rise up the ladder next year onwards and so I don't have to follow it as much!
whatwhat say what 23,895 Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 wants to be back in south australia. can't see port adelaide being able to satisfy brisbane's demands, but a three-way deal involving melbourne is not beyond the realms of possibilities, especially as the crows don't have an early draft pick to work with.
PaulRB 6,436 Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Given we lured Clark away from his prefered destination (WA) would we be interested in Polec?
Deemotivated 550 Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Why would we want him? I dont see him filling a need at MFC.... unless he's good mates with rockliff and redden and they are inseparable. ;-)
demonchris 162 Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Just a quick Bio, so we know a bit more about him. Age: 20yr 10mth Games: 16 Born: October 12, 1992 Height: 188cm Weight: 85kg Position: Midfield
Adzman 2,154 Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 One of my best mates is a die hard Lions member, so I asked him on his thoughts about Polec. He said he looks the goods when he is on the park, but is behind the development of a raft of other draftees over the past few years. Thinks a string of injuries has kept him from developing at the level he could have been, and wonders if he will actually ever be a game winner. I asked him where he thought he would be traded to, and he has heard preference is back to SA but will come back to VIC if it means a "fresh start". If a fresh start is what he is after, he very could well end up in Victoria if the right deal can be struck. I suppose his "fresh start" depends on the asking price. I would look at swapping players for him, but an early pick is a risk. He should come with a 'fragile' sticker wherever he is traded to. For me, I think we pass and look at other options that come with far less risk.

Rhino Richards 1,467 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Given we lured Clark away from his prefered destination (WA) would we be interested in Polec? My understanding that having arrived back in WA that Clark was wanting out of WA and MFC were there at the right time.
Machsy 2,858 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Injured a bit ? Maybe. You'd think that a recent pick 5 should have enough ability that teams will back their medical staff to get his body right, if that's all it was. Either way, I'd not offer much for him, and will expect him to only entertain offers to SA clubs.
whatwhat say what 23,895 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 hamish hartlett says hello. chronically injured in his first three of four years, but he's a natural footballer.

If you start rating players on their draft number you should get out of the caper before the industry finds you out. His condition may pr may not be due . hamish hartlett says hello. chronically injured in his first three of four years, but he's a natural footballer. Hartlett was a good footballer from the start. Missed a bit of footy in his second year but has always oozed class. Polec can't get on the track....period. Spot the difference?

Grimseyisgod 378 Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 could almost go for free as he is no a no body. would be good
