Whilst we are wrapped up in our joy I for one want to take a moment to thank NC for taking us on when it was all a steaming pile.

Clearly a great bloke and we owe him our thanks.

Well done Craigy.

Here, here

100% agree. I hope you stay around for the ride Neil. Your knowledge is great.

But whatever your decision you are always welcome in the MFC family.

Spot on thread

Well done NC & Thank you

If your not at the club in 2014 all the best

Now bring on the Roos era!

I posted my thanks to Neil on another thread.

He has behaved and performed with amazing professionalism, dignity and resilience in his time at Melbourne

Were Roos to find an appropriate role for him, one that Neil wanted, then he would remain a very valuable asset at our club.

Couldn't agree more - Neil Craig you are part of the family now! (Although not sure that's a good thing for him - it's been a bloody painful family to be a part of :) )

Thanks Neil Craig. We appreciate all you have done for the MFC. Your a genius of the sport.

Regardless of his next move, he's been an asset to the club and has always gone about things the right way. Good luck for the future Craigy and thanks for your service in tough times.

Thanks Craigy, if you don't hang around (which I would be more than happy if you did) I hope you get another opportunity to be a senior coach at the Lions or WC. Tough job to take on but you did it with honour.

Neil Craig is the perfect mix of a great football professional and just a decent good bloke.

MFC has been better for his presence. I hope he stays in a mutually-ageeable capacity or gets a great gig elsewhere.

You know he started "in the Red & Blue". Then he had another stint. Then he should finish there.

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

Melbourne’s slow starts have been a troubling theme for a while. Against the Suns, they started slowly in both of their games, they trailed by 5.7.37 to 0.1.1 at quarter time at Peoples First Stadium in Round 16. This season, the story has remained the same and if the Demons fail to shake off this issue against the unbeaten Gold Coast Suns, they will be in serious danger of capitulating once again in their Easter Sunday showdown.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
